As far as video game timetables go it hasn't been that long since the reveal, we just got it in December. I'd say another few months until we hear something

June is when you want to watch out for, as that's when all the big events are.

There is a decent to moderate chance we will get little snippets of info here and there, like confirming its in Unreal 5, but don't expect major stuff like gameplay and big reveals till around that time.

My bet is still on Summer Games Fest, it's a day before ROTB releases iirc, would be perfect timing especially considering how they seem to be coinciding with ROTB's marketing. It could also come the following week or two after we get our second trailer for ROTB but we'll see. (My basis for them wrapping it with ROTB's marketing is that the marketing started in December for ROTB and we assumed that the most likely point for the game to be revealed was the Game Awards, and sure enough it was.)

I could see that. Especially if they announce the first dlc pack centered around Beast Wars.

So the timeframe may have moved up. The first of the big events is rumored to be shortly prior to SGF. Right now, its a strong rumor, but most likely true. All the big names like to hold their own events and since E3 got canned, SGF has become massive, so it will most definitely be in the realm for someone like Sony to do their own event to avoid being caught in the clutter of it.

If they truly are following their release when everything is hot time frame like last time, then we will most likely get a small Reactivate teaser or something shortly after this next RoTB trailer around Early May, then have an official big event in the end of May or June when they tag along with the bigger events.

Of course, they have also been doing nothing but throwing heavy curveballs that came out of nowhere, so don't be surprised if they do this or just Shadow Drop at the most random time and place.

So this is a rant/discusion that needs to be had.

Games are releasing in worse and worse states and its getting to the point where not only fans, but all the major outlets have finally found the straw that broke the camels back.

    Screenshot_20230507-155720_Twitter.jpg

    Screenshot_20230507-155820_Twitter.jpg

    Screenshot_20230507-155310_Twitter.jpg

And I would like to point out that its not only the shitty games that are coming out bad, but also the good ones as well. Hell, on pc like the last 7 major releases were released beyond broken and buggy. It seems Redfall seems to be the straw the broke the camels back and everyone is saying enough is enough. So far nothing is being done about it. We are being reaffirmed over and over again that things will change, but they very obviously haven't. Now, don't get me wrong, there have been games like Hi-Fi Rush, God of War that have released very well and finished, but it seems to be an outlier and not the industry standard.

Now why am I bringing this up... Well tbh, Reactivate has had a troubled development and I don't want it to end up as just bullet point on the list of failures. I am praying, PRAYING, devs, publishers, and the suits in charge finally see how big of an issue this truly has become and finally will actually start implementing stuff to fix it. Yes, I do realize this refers primarily to Xbox and PC, but it's been a major issue for way too long that needs to be fix.

Like I said earlier, the limit has been met and broken, so all the tolerance for the bad and buggy games is beyond gone, so if Reactivate releases anything like Redfall, Jedi Survivor, Halo Infinite or the many other plagued games at launch that are broken or unfinished that have come out recently, I genuinely seriously question if the game will actually survive. I want to stay positive about Reactive; however, these things need to be said. I know we have seen hardly anything about it so far, but we need to make sure this game doesn't falter from the same faults all these previous games suffer from.

This isn't just a Reactivate issue, its the gaming inudstry as a whole issue, that effects all studios, platforms, and publishers because they have shown time and time again that they can't be fully trusted.

Yep, games today are coming out with all the bugs and incomplete so they can sell you patches and DLCs, and that's when they're not making these games online only so that the product has now become a service.

I’m lucky to remember the golden age of expansion packs, thankfully. Cities: Skylines still drops some decent DLC on occasion at least.

I said it in another post. That slot machine wouldn't exist without people dropping in $2.50 like monkeys chasing a dopamine hit. That meme is accurate but I don't think people realize the meaning. Yeah, games are gambling simulator but if you keep pushing in quarters those slot machines keep getting made.

Consistently checking all their feeds, websites and what not and nothing yet, but it's almost guaranteed to be there since they do in fact have the beta for sometime in 2023

Considering Forged to Fight just got a sudden revival... I'm more inclined to think something out of Reactivate might be coming soon? Maybe? Hopefully? Please...

    I'd say yes, very soon.

This is further proving my "They want to release everything when it's hot" theory

The fact they want to bring back old games when TF popularity is back is very good cause it means they are getting people back interested in TF again

That's cause they want to do everything when. It's hot and relevant

Would not be surprised if Splash Damage drops our next update in June or sooner for that matter.

People should vote with their wallets. Preorders are a problem, why developers should care about product on launch if bunch of cretins already gaved them money for nothing?

Thankfully the time has really flown by at least for me, it feels like only a week or two ago that we were in January and I was crossing my fingers for Summer Games Fest news. June or earlier seems like a safe bet. I would prefer it to be earlier because if the beta ends up being in the latter half of July I'm going to have a fit. (I'm going abroad and probably wouldn't have access to anything to play the damn beta on.)
