    Points for knowing the original:

    Thunderclash is coming
    And TFW’s jumping
    Cybertron to San Francisco
    An intergalactic disco
    New plastic wheels are turning
No more GPS to get me burning
So come to my plastic party
    Articulate that perfect body

Gave myself a long weekend cos fuck it. Waiting on Skyquake delivery and went to my local Smyths and came away with a Hotshot.

    That was a decision.

I don't think he's bad but there is something off on him, may be that all the tiny tabs may be easy to detach and his chest doesn't close all the way.

I've loved the way this looks since it was first announced - only the size stopped it being a buy for me. I don't want to be one of those who constantly wishes for an OSKO of things, but if someone were to scale him up to about a head taller than Iron Factory Bruticus...

I think if I won a competition and the prize was three rescaled KOs of Transformers that would probably be one of them. Along with Perfect Effect Warden downscaled to IF Overlord size, and Master Made Apollo upscaled to... I dunno... Utopia size?

Growing up, Prowl was a legend at village hall discos.

    IMG20230324144216.jpg

Mini review: He's great. A sturdy little chunkster with loads of personality. Admittedly, he's less stoic ninja bot now and more cheeky little traffic cop, but that's all good. Reinterpretations are things I love in transformers. We need more.

Ironically the Amazon one might have gone better with the Obscue G2 stuff too.

This reminds me a bit of POTP Evolution Optimus Prime in that it has a lot of poorly placed silver.

I wish they'd either remake the Earth Rise Trailer with a mould that isn't crap or at the very least give you Roller for him.
It's going to be a real chose to get a Roller for this I bet short of new suppliers emuriging.

I think it's a real shame The Xmas one didn't have a Red or Black Roller with it or some paint on the interior.
I almost wish Reprolabels wou;d give you a value bundle just for that damn trailer. Unfortunately I dislike Repro Labels current sticker stock materials. But I do think even bad reprolabels might be preferable to a totally plain trailer.

I bet this would a lot better hauling the 3rd party TF Prime Trailer too or even that obscure DOTM Deluxe trailer that was mostly sold in Singapore.

I went for the Diceling as there was only one available and it seems a really good price.

    Thanks all!

Romford Smyths has the Rise of the Beasts Studio Series stuff, plus a load of Earthspark and the new Legacy wave.

Legacy Prowl does have a very IDW Springarm look, he’s kinda bulky but in a visually pleasing way, get a new set of heads on him and let them hang out with the MMC Supercop Prime

    Oh, that’s lovely.

The only time MP stuff tempts me is when it’s Fans Hobby (from companies that still exist, anyway). They actually do characters I’m interested in, also.

Maybe one day, if I ever catch up with Iron Factory…

I see FT Gears, Swerve, Pipes and Scourge are soon to be up for Pre-order. Loads of BadCube Grumps for the chopping block :(

OmegaLock saying Scourge production is being based on Pre orders... FFS FT, we just got past that whole pre-order insanity nonsense, and now you bringing it back!!

I'd heard it's gone gastric on some folks, hope the tummy grumbling settles down soon on a speedy recovery, Brian!

Bumper delivery day today Casa Del Seeaicho, not only did the SAF serve as speedily as ever but also my new nips (marginally better but not as much as an improvement as I'd hoped - I think I may have to have a go at sharpening 'em up with a finer bevel somehow - I wonder if there's a sharpening service provision somewhere?), the 3 x A5 black styrene sheets intended to fashion buckles & bits for gunslings, the 3 x colours of ribbon I ordered for the core slingings (perhaps a little shinier than I had envisaged, more notably on the olive green & gunmetal, but still decent enough), as well as these two smooth operators:

Destro sure does look the part, I dunno if it's the painted eyebrows swinging me that way but I detect a hint of caricature of younger Schir Schean in the face, plus he can do the classic 007 poster pose to boot, minor disappointment that the larger of his guns doesn't fit inside his suitcase, and that, whilst Robo of The Fwoosh's assessment that the Retro inner is the better deco over the original suitcase's is right, the hinge on the thing is pretty horrendous - there was some awful stressing on mine from the off that kettling didn't even touch - I think I'll need to figure out a means to re-hinge sooner rather than later, before it bisects itself of it's own accord!
    I can't complain at £13 quid though.
I did decide to dab metallic green over his plain pupils though, white just didn't cut it for me, is that a subliminal 'Toon influence?

Just waiting on The Baroness & the B.A.T. now, the tracking is still at "We're expecting it", SAF really have spoiled me!

Also the Ambassador arrived, and in-hand he has proved more than the perfunctory purchase I initially considered him, that bonce and the bling deco really do well to differentiate him, and the nice deep sea blue of his windows means I don't even need to repaint the roof pillar that Skids needed blending with black!
On a whim I decided to paint his dubs black instead of colour-correcting his tires with it, something a bit sporty boy racer about the diplomat is a nice bit of characterisation, like he's has a playful demeanour maybe?
    DSC_0187.jpeg DSC_0188.jpeg
With the new black gloves though one has to wonder if he is perhaps the classic spy handler under diplomatic cover, eh?

    And there's a spy!
