Unclip the 2 tabs on the back of moonshine from iron arm, Then slide him forward and up

 

Is it possible to do that while Iron Arm's back panels are the in the way or do I need to untab those first?

Okay after fiddling with Iron Arm's panels and literally taking it off the mushroom peg I got moonshine untabbed. Whew that was stressful.

 

Yes you need to open them, thought that wpuld be obvious haha

 

Or wait, did you say without breaking something? I finally used a hammer to beat Moon Shine and Iron Arm together so I don't think there is any way to pull them apart without a fair bit of violence. But some reviewers say the combining was simple (and then do it off-camera or with their body blocking a decent view of how they did it).

 

That was my solution until I couldn't get both of those panels open for 10 minutes.   But with enough prying with spudger miracles can happen.

It was a pain in the ass, but they were separated without breakage.

 

I’m a sucker for toon accuracy so.. I decided to paint MS Raiden’s eyes yellow. One weird thing I noticed is that the whole eyes assembly felt like it was designed for Light Up feature, but midway they decided to scrap that.

I don’t really have the space for JP G1 MPs in my collection although I do have Starsaber/Victory Leo … if one comes up for a sale at a low price or some type of clearance price ever pops up for the whole set then I might just snag him anyway

Trains are like any form of public transport: You wait ages for one, then three show up at once.

 

I’ve thought about selling my set too but I know I’d have regret later. Yeah I’m not super familiar with the series he’s from but I like the train aspect. But I will say though that Raiden is heavier by my estimation, but Cang Toys’ Thunderking is still larger in stature.

 

I hypothesize that the hype has died down, and without any news on repaints or anything else, the only posts on this thread are people announcing sales or asking about repairs.

 

I didn’t know Raiden even existed in transformers until I got on here. I saw this thread when it started but didn’t realize he was MP size. When I saw how big he was I had to have it, I’m a sucker for combiners, and Raiden looks awesome. And he fits my collection because I just collect cool looking transformers. I don’t care about seasons or toon or toy really. They just need to look cool to me. Although my Zeta Bruticon had to be changed to a toy Onslaught, I found out after buying it that I can’t stand the toon look. I had the toy as a kid and never saw the cartoon.

 

I just wanna say... I love this combiner! Might be my favorite thus far out of all of 'em (Zeta toy deco Bruticus and show deco Superion, ToyWorld Devastator, DX9 Menasor) and looks great in combined and individual modes. I'm glad I took a while to get Green Zone in because I was able to enjoy the robot modes for a bit. The trains are a bit stubby but still look awesome... the robots are BOSS. The combined mode ROCKS and looks pretty much just like the TV show, just better with more detail.

 

Yup, great set all round. I really like the robot modes; the fact that it's a combiner, and the combined mode is usually the end goal for a set, makes it even more significant that the robots are so good.

 

Yup. I've purged most of my Japanese era Transformers, but I'm holding onto this set. Superb figures with a superb combined mode.

As for the official version of Raiden... How Takara have the nerve to call that greebly mess a masterpiece combiner is beyond me.
