I could see Hasbro doing another Galaxy Shuttle. But I think it'll be ways down the line. I mean, Cosmos is by far a more popular character and I don't think Hasbro plans to make that right anytime soon. Rather, Cosmos just shows up when Hasbro feels the time is right for him, which is every few years.

I mean, if they do Aramda Jetfire, Galaxy Shuttle is probably not top of the repaint list. Rather, the blue variation and Astrotrain are probably telling GS to get in line.

 

Spacewarp is the top of my repaint want for Jetfire. Though she should include an extra Astrotrain head… even though the purple was a different shade.

I was just at Mandarake in Akihabara in Tokyo. They had the US import of him for sale for the low, low price of ¥14,000 (about $105).

That's around the going rate for ebay last year so it's fair.

 

I managed to grab one during the... two or so hour window where it was available, and it's supposed to be here tomorrow according to the estimate. Hopefully I'll be able to let everyone know by then; I have more faith in in-stock items being the real deal than pre-orders.

 

woulda been nice if they took the time to fill my preorder they cancelled with the new stock. My spoiler megatron preroder is STILL in open status...

Nope and probably never will

 

I was hoping they might push out a huge quantity of them for the Christmas season. Now that September is approaching and there are none to be found, it looks like the second wave of the Velocitron toys is a ghost. I never saw any of them in stores. It is crazy. Why carry an exclusive and make so few that people can't buy it?

 

Walmart just wants exclusives. They don’t necessarily want to sell them…

 

Pulse did get a few, and I’m very glad I got my hands on them then. My friend in Ireland tells me they went on clearance there. I suspect Walmart tired of the Velocitron collection after looking at the Wave 1 sales and decide to cancel at some point between placing the order and having them shipped. I wouldn’t be shocked if they turn up at Ross or somewhere in Malaysia in the next 12 months.
