Yeah, I agree about the other options. Just saying though. I think the point was that any company with any reason to be able to charge more for something, they usually will.

Another bit of LEGO 3Parts shenanigans, even with it painted in Scarlett's moulded grenade seemed a bit too titchy in comparison to Snakes' & Stalker's, so I picked up this more mills bomb/pineapple-y Brickwarriors grenade to take her back to v.1 a bit more, and seeing as neither of the blokes can actually deploy theirs, I figured I'd stick it to the belt - but then I thought about the belt's flexibility, and realised I'd best fix it to the knife sheath which is the most solid of the structural parts, so I cut off some of the sheath's moulded screws/stitching details, cut a notch in the back side of the grenade (after docking some material off the top as it was a longer 3.1mm handle for a LEGO figure, & threw off the aesthetics, then neatening the cut surface with plastic weld), and superglued to the sheath, and it seems pretty solidly on there thus far!

Like I said, I am only familiar with the materials and have no knowledge of the socio-economics of any of it. Sure, I have my opinions on how executive cutbacks could solve a lot of financial issues for corporations, but that's not ever going to happen so it's a moot point.

My only point, which I suppose I missed, is that it isn't the materials cost that is preventing has bruh from making vehicles in the $25 range.
I'm perfectly aware of designing, tooling, worker, production, packaging, marketing, and shipping costs. I just have no idea what those costs are or how many of it is factored in to the final MSRP.

I just know that if corporations want to save money they need to start at the executive level, with the mostly useless.
But that's a pretty radical idea these days.

But if we must debate all of this, please understand I'm not well versed on the subject, nor properly educated on economics. I'm just a low level worker looking up the ladder and watching the crappy decisions come down it.
I am not armed for this type of debate.
    I'm just a simple laborer.

A few more goodies from storage. Night Attack chopper, Crimson Command Copter and the Thunderwing. I've had these for 20 years. Time certainly flies.

So, if I wanted to get a Classified collection going quickly with a couple figures, are discount stores like Ross, DD's and worth a stop? Obviously, I think these guys are worth normal price since I'm eyeing pretty new toys, but since I'm basically starting a new collection I just like the idea of being able to pick up two or three at once so one's not just sitting there flying solo until I can get the next one.

Went to the first issue of the Joe Marvel run (my history with the Joe comic started when they got folded into the UK TF comic, when it became Transformers & Action Force GI Joe), and was surprised to find out the JUMP jetpack wasn't a hangover from Hama's original S.H.I.E.L.D. pitch but was an actual original '83 Joe vehicle, and now I'm kinda surprised that they haven't done a Classified one yet.

Aside from the fact that modern Joes are a tight fit the NAC is amazing. One of the new larger Joe vehicles that I’m actively trying to hold onto. I have the Thunderwing in storage but like it too. I would love to see Hasbro redo it without the gimmicks.

I'm thinking if Hasbro made the Thunderwing with the gimmicks today it would be expensive.

The jetpack (without the launch platform) is included in the upcoming Battle Corps two pack. I'm sure it won't be the last time we see it included as a Classified accessory.

I had an inkling I'd forgotten something when I googled Gridiron's version, it being the generic lad & lass of the Steel Brigade is probably why it slid out of my brain!

I haven't heard of many Classified figures showing up at closeout stores. I think one of the versions of Roadblock is being found at Ross right now...but not much else. I recommend looking at BigBadToyStore, Pulse, Amazon, etc. and picking up a few at retail price. There are quite a few popular characters in stock or available for preorder at a bunch of places right now.

I'd hit the Pulse Warehouse sale ASAP. 30 to 35% off but I think it's almost over. Snake eyes, Stalker, Baroness, Lady Jaye, Tomax, Xamont, Spirit, Storm Shadow, CC, Gung ho, and Sgt Slaughter are all still available. $300 worth of figures for around $200 total or 3 or 4 for $70.
After that you might find some deals at Amazon Warehouse and most of my local Wal-Marts have Retro Baroness and Lady Jaye on clearance from like $15-19.

Thanks for the info. Sadly, I already ended up spent this month so the warehouse sale was a no-go but Jaye and Baroness were some characters I am interested in. Find those two together, won't have the "lonely toy" problem. Pretty impressed by all the retail/near retail guys I've seen on Amazon so I'm glad I'm not too late, so to speak. They'll be competing with Transformers but even then I think I can get around one a month.

Many of these have been available for a while already, so, I would expect there to still be ample supply for a while longer.
