My 19 year old kitty passed away today. Had him since he was a kitten.

 

I'm sorry for your loss. My cat passed away exactly one year ago. I prefer cats as company, more than humans, with their serenity and silence they say it all. One good day another will come.

 

His younger sister is keeping me company as I type. She's 9. She hasn't figured out he's gone yet. I'll wait a few weeks to a month, then get a new kitten. I find my pets are less lonesome if there are at least two. Had cats as pets far back as I can remember, my father tells stories of my mothers cats sitting on my cribs railing staring down at me.
