That sag was discussed a while back in this thread and I'm pretty sure you can fix that by making sure that the part with the loading ramp is attached to the body properly. I think TT mentioned that in their transformation video? It does not come correct in the box and you need to tab that part on. Mine does not sag like that.

Appreciate the reply, I am not too worried about the sag at all. Another member pointed it out, but it does not bother me.

Welp, TCP just shipped my Skyfire. Only thing is, I thought I had it set to be sent to my stash. I have my FH Double Agent in my stash, and I wanted to ship them together.

Oh, well. Skyfire is on the way.

Wow, I would guess that means BBTS will be getting their stock soon as well

He looks like he sags because he has a little tab in that middle that goes on the inside that holds his chest in place.

This tab you can see here. Once it’s in you can tip the canopy down and even the gap under the emblem gets closed up.

OK, but it's a screwup from the factory so it shouldn't look like that. Also, if you are posting review pics or videos you are making the toy look worse than it actually is. Most of the reviews on YouTube including Emgo and Wotafa (which is shocking) have this figure mistransformed. It would be nice to get some more reviews that have the correct transformation.

I think it is the part that forms the side of the chest that is giving me that impression. That does look a bit better, but the shape of thar chest panel angling down still gives an illusion of a slope.

I have it noted in my review that there is sag due to mistransformation right out of the box. I'm not making it look worse than it actually is, I am showing the viewers how it looks right when you remove it from the box (and it should NOT look like that). There are also issues with the chest tabbing in and the backpack not easily collapsing. I think these are all very small issues and don't detract from this awesome release from Takara Tomy.

I can attest that mine was mistransformed right out of the box as well.

I also think there is a bit of a design flaw in the middle foldout backpack panel. If you notice in plane mode, when tabbing down the blue canopy, the top hinge under the blue canopy pushes down on the panel and it flexes bent down. Like it’s just a hair too long.

If you cannot lock the blue canopy down, try removing your stored masks. They seem to be interfering somewhere inside.

I would actually say to not store anything in the canopy. I already have stress marks on the clear blue tab that holds the battle mask.

if you look closely behind the feet, the ankle pivot is well behind the joint where the heel turns allowing the heel to easily sit flush, while the left one is much, much closer making it almost impossible to sit flush. Any ideas? Not sure if this is a legit defect at this point

I’ve decided to sell mine. I haven’t enjoyed any of my time with it and it’s better off with someone who’ll like it a lot more than I did. It’s a shame because I was really looking forward to it and instead it’s killed off what little interest I had left in official MP releases.

I received mine yesterday from showz. I had his left hip ratchet give out within minutes of him being in bot mode. I had to take the thigh apart to get at the hip. The screw did not seem to have adequate threads. It would not hold. I had to replace it with a similar size but corse thread screw. So far so good.
I think he looks amazing. What I do not like is the ratchet joints everywhere that are extremely wide tooth. Every movement is a wild exaggerated click beyond where I want it. He has ankle tilt but what’s the point when it clicks only once to a fixed degree. I’m going to mess with him more today but already I’m having build issues.

There is enough play inbetween the ratchet teeth to achieve
more subtle posing, well at least a natural looking relaxed A-stance. See how-to in my review here: MP-57 Skyfire review

This looks like the ankle pin was not put in all the way.
If you can send it back, I would.
I would worry pushing the pin in would crack the ankle joint.

I hope no one misconstrues my posts showing some of the issues. It’s my way of helping others with transformation.

He has some quirks. The ratchets could have been finer. The backpack takes getting used to compacting for transformation. I just saw the first QC post just above.

I’m definitely not a HasTak fanboi. I have original MPs, 3rd party and KOs in my collection. Even great figures have nitpicks.

He’s not completely perfect but is still a great figure with really good accessories in my opinion. He jumped right out of the screen in robot and alt mode. The material and paint quality feels good to me.

I still get that “dang that’s a cool figure” feeling every time I walk by him and just have to grab him for a bit.

Just putting it all in perspective in case someone has doubts.

I also noticed that the mp-57 shares a similar type of ratchet hip connection as the mp-44.

For those who have trouble with the tab connecting the nose cone section:

    806E2146-8856-41E9-B077-F7EE44599A3B.jpeg
First pivot here and detach emblem panel as usual.

    45FA908E-9967-46AE-BEFD-431F2C19C262.jpeg
Then pivot at the yellow point, which would simultaneously pivot the green point upward.

    656A057C-5C77-4F35-9256-4071A133583A.jpeg
This creates enough clearance to very much safely untab the bottom section!

I hope this helps people enjoy this figure more. I know for me at least, this step was THE most frustrating and scary. I didn’t really have trouble with anything else besides this and I’m glad to have found a safe solution I can share with everyone!

The solution for most people with the issue of the foot not going flat is to bend the front of the foot so that the rear of the foot can clear the ankle joint. It’s hard to explain but it works for me.

Sorry to hear about the hip! This is the first time that particular issue has been posted as far as I know.
