It _is_ worthless. If everybody signed up for Pulse Premium, some of the subscribers gloating now would be out in the cold because the quantities available wouldn't change. Alas, that requires one to conceive of theoretical situations and not simply parrot what they've been told.

 

I even ordered Dorito Jazz - who'd of thought. I'm 100% all in for these G2s. I hated the line in the 90s. Now I'm absolutely here for the neon overload.

 

Got my retro G1 Thundercracker and Hound on Walmart. Weird Hound didn't go up as early as Thundercracker (or at least that I could find) so got nervous.

Shipping Apr 26th is nice too!

 

Personally, I made sure to google "Walmart Collector Con" on Tuesday, noted the time, and made sure I was awake an hour before the start time. I mean I get it but there is also a level of due diligence on the part of the consumer.

 

So what's the excuse for Hot Rod, then? They definitely didn't give Walmart much stock of him. My pre-order at Walmart was canceled and I've never seen him in-store.

So, are responsible adults expected to take off work, or go in late to pre-order a recolor of a childhood toy? lol. What a weird time to have pre-orders for G1 toys go live. Aren't most of us usually at work at 10am on a Thursday? I'm only off today because my daughter has Pink Eye, though I still couldn't get an order in for Hound.

This is why a lot of people just don't even bother any more. It's not worth the hassle.

 

Plan to not have work or go to school to order toys? And then having like an hour to do it? And having to pay $50 to do it?

I was able to do it today, but I'm not going to pretend it felt reasonable.

Agree to disagree, I guess. I think that's an unreasonable amount of effort to put in on top of purchasing a service to enable the ability to even do so.

 

I got half of my To Buy List with Cloudcover and Nacho Cheese Jazz.
Now I wait for Miami Swipe and Raj Melon.

 

AND, just think of all the delicious neon G2 possibilities this opens up...

That would have been it, for me. I'm in California. At 7:00am, I'm literally in my car on the way to work. No way to be on HasbroPulse without making specific plans that either get me to work late, or absurdly early....


(And, for the record, I AM a Premium member at the moment. I did the math, and once I made the decision to pre-order Deathsaurus, the likelihood that I'd save more than the $50 in shipping was reasonably high. Without that, it wouldn't be worth that expense to me, because I only buy Transformers from Pulse, and that not really enough times over the course of a year to cost me so much in shipping. Premium may well be worth it for a lot of people, but definitely NOT for everyone.)

 

You pay for convenience. I also didn't like paying for Cosmos at a reseller rate. It's a choice, if you don't agree it's fine, but I elected to choose with my dollars and I have been satisfied.

Well, except for the sheer amount of transportation and cardboard waste due to individual shipments.

 

That dripping truck thing gives me a damn good laff every time I see it. As does the asking price. Thanks, Hasbro – you're saving me a fortune at the moment.

Scylla and charybdis, if you order from Walmart now, you are charged immediately for an order that has a not-insignificant chance of never being fulfilled. Neither option we are given on these is really customer friendly.
