Those are super common kibble arrangement typical for a wide number of transformers characters and while they do share some vague traits in that regard they are vastly different designs and vehicles and he can just be his own mold with its own engineering you don't have to try to hamfist a horrible retool out of it.

 

Chase doesn't look too far off from the basic Transformers 101 design you see with stuff like Wheeljack and Sunstreaker so I couldn't honestly see him being his own mold since it doesn't seem like he requires reinventing the wheel.

Armada Red Alert should be his own mold. 2000s Anime Ratchet/Robocop supremacy.

 

true, and chances are the figure would turn out looking like he shares engineering but is almost entirely different under closer investigation

but you're talking to one of the guys who still wants a cybertron ransack retool out of legarcee so hamfisting possibly horrible retools out of stuff is sometimes to be expected.

 

It'd look like it shared engineering the same way CW Silverbolt shares engineering with Kingdom Cyclonus.

I was messing around with Metalhawk… and if they put a new chest and head, and reverse the wings, we could have a decent Slipstream. I’d rather have a retooled ER Seeker, but this could work too.

Nah the difference is Legacee is destined to become Ransack and Jazz shouldn’t be anywhere near Red Alert.

 

No see, that makes sense and it would be the correct size class which is why it cant work.

 

Speaking of the legacee mold, here's a crackpot idea. What if they retooled it into a G1 styled ROTB Arcee?

Okay, now THAT maybe I can probably see. But so far, at least every UT incarnation(minus Energon), has been accurate to the original source material.

I don’t think I see it, but I probably just lack the eyes for that. Either way, I’d rather everyone just got a new toy from the UT. Maybe I can see a few be retooled, but I’m kind of liking how the Armada cast and Override turned out. Now if we can at LEAST get one Energon character. I’m hoping Inferno, Scorponok, Omega Supreme, Optimus, or Megatron.

 

If Chase isn't his own mold, I could see him being a heavy retool of Runamuck, with entirely new chestplate, head, shoulders and car backpack.

 

I hate that this won’t ever happen.

 

I'm guessing the upcoming Bludgeon is going to be the inner robot wearing the Samurai elements of the outer shell, like how Skullgrin was just the inner robot wearing the "skull" elements of the Pretender shell. If it turns out good I'll definitely be grabbing him. I hope they don't give him new fists and instead retain Tarn's articulated fists.

Or characters like the Battlechargers (who shared a new mold in Earthrise; with Runabout having a different head).
