Yeah I could see that happening but don't really care for Pipes too much but I would still pick it up. as far as pre-orders I was hoping they would be up already in the states, don't wanna miss out looking forward to that scourge.

I do wish, with all the face variants, it came with a "toy" visored face plate.

It's weird and inconsistant. Sometimes FT will do a toy head/face like with Tesla and the upcomming Recorder. Then they, more often than not, skip it like with Outrider, Rig and this one which really need it. It's not like they don't come with plenty of toon faces for the toon fans... Just one toy face would be nice.

The timing made it look like the Tesla one may have been in reaction to XTB Janssen. No idea if it was or not, but it might have been. Recorder might be related to the toy options they did for Soundwave, so they can pair together better. I expect the toy options on Soundwave were to further differentiate from MP-13 to give people more incentive to replace a Takara figure.

From the waist downwards 100%. I don't see a major improvement on the torso, arms and head/face though. Mainly because BC already is spot on there.

Toon style collector, but I agree with this.
One extra face sculpt isn't much of a task when you're already including several toon expressions. We have seen that it generates additional interest in a figure and likely ups the sales too.
Lots of people really appreciate the toy style heads/faces and they do give the figure a little more attraction. Look at Acoustic Wave.

Perhaps they're saving all of the toy faces for the toy style re-release cash-ins.

I actually like Grump's entire upper body and face better, but the legs and feet are much better on Variator. Bad Cube always makes their minibots with crackerbox legs and penguin, flappy feet. Their Brawn and Huffer also have that look. That said, I'm not sure that Variator is THAT much better for me to replace Grump.

The face still kills me but it’s hard to deny the rest of the bot. It might be like a few others lately where I’ve waited for a while before biting. I did that with fanstoys rig and ended up loving rig, but grump particularly just has a charm that is hard to describe

Wow man. That was kind of uncalled for... Seeing as though this is a Gears thread, I was looking at Gears and not Swerve. So yeah, I didn't notice it at first.

Got mine in on Chosen Prime. $120 with August arrival date. Not finding that date to be believable, but hopefully he can be my Christmas present.

This so needs a toy face it just isn’t funny… seriously, one toy face would sell this to me. I can’t understand why they didn’t bother?

These designs are also ancient as well. Like when people do comparison videos of Parkor vs the MMC or XTB.

its a particular aesthetic, certain people are into it and it is cool. If i could have more shelves for the different style i would. Even though i sold it i maintain Badube Brawny was very cool. I dont dislike them by any means, just got sucked in by Fanstoys. Gears i am resisting.

This is going to need better tolerances on the bicep pins. They look the same as Parkour and I’m suffering from floppy elbow syndrome already with him.

Agreed. Badcube Brawn felt like Brawn. Beefy and powerful.
