toxitron looks like hes begging for a nickelodeon crossover

Cloudcover looks great. Everyone else is just frying the eyeballs. Jazz, dafook, man? Yow.

 

Absolutely stunned and excited they chose THAT Grimlock to go with of all variants. Totally Stoked about that choice!

 

It's just the non-window boxfront only as yet.

 

Wasn't expecting it to be cancelled decos, but I knew it would be a g2 subline wtf

Alr thoughts:

Burning Jazz - Look I love Jazz he's one of my favorite autobots, I'm very hyped for his origins figure, but this one ain't it chief. Nice that he comes with his shoulder cannon. Hope they fixed some of the tolerances.

Cloudcover - This one looks ok, but I don't really have a need for it. Kind of done with the seekers, unless they do a Sunstorm & Slipstream. Also gotta love the screaming face.

Grimlock - Surprised they went with the tiger deco. Hard to tell how it'll look, but that's interesting nonetheless.

Toxitron - So Toxitron is G2 now? Ok. This guy looks good, and is easily the highlight for me. Looks like they're doing the clear shoulder pylons again like they did with Scourge, but I think it looks a bit better here. I will say the alt mode looks a little bland, but I can see toyhax putting out a sticker sheet that'll fix that.

Imma be real, everything here is an easy pass for me except Toxitron & maybe Grimlock

So is there a second voyager? Or is it the 4 deluxes & the PR? Since the theme seems to be cancelled G2 figures, I think the PR is for Shadowstrip, and idk if Roadpig is happening now.

 

I hear you. I had a blue Grimlock as a kid and have been hoping one of the bajillion grey Grimlock toys that've been released over the years would've gotten a blue repaint. Seeing "G2 GRIMLOCK" in the headline just to find out it's the version that never existed is kinda soul crushing.

Oh well, money (and potential Walmart preorder headaches) saved.

 

Maybe two of the remaining deluxes will be the cancelled G2 Mirage and Sideswipe?

 

They look so hideous, but this 90s coloration I wants me to have them, should I dare get these?

 

Definitely getting Grimlock and possibly Toxitron. I want Jazz, but I'll wait to get him on clearance because I doubt he'll sell.

 

Cancelled figures. Toxitron was Universe, not G2

Technically would make Horrorcon Waspinator or Blackarachnia a chance, or someone like Universe Drench

 

I liked their decos more, so I’m hoping Selects succeeds where this subset failed because Cloudcover is the ONLY figure I want from it so far

 

I love these so much. I grew up in G2, and any chance I can get to go back to those days of bold colors, ridiculous decos, and obnoxiously bright packaging is alright by me!

Sad it isn't Blue Grimlock, but I love that tiger stripe so much I won't say no.

Toxitron looks.. eh, not as gaudy as I would have liked. I just got the Dr Wu Micromaster Toxitron so maybe I’m good on the character.

Jazz and the Seeker are nice but not things I would feel any need to grab at full price. Curious to see what else ends up being part of this capsule. Mirage and Sideswipe maybe?

Breakdown ended up being my favorite of the Stunticons, G2 Breakdown would be an instant buy for me.

 

I feel like Nightprowler getting done in Legacy already opened the doors for those two.

 

Gonna be needing that Seeker somehow.

 

Any idea on the release date for these?

Oh man! The new Capsule line is actually more G2 goodness!

That being said...

WTF is that ugly orange Jazz? Why not using the more classic G2 Jazz toy as a base?

Toxitron looks weirdly majestic though. This is a must get.

G2 Cloudcover is fun, good to have more unreleased G2 toy decos.

G2 Grimlock is meh but expected (Him being orange is unexpected though).

Now bring me Earth Mode G2 Sideswipe and we are cool.
