I just got this figure but the eyes bother me. Would a Gundam marker be good for the eyes?

 

The eye’s actually have light piping… it’s not the greatest. I have 2. I used gunmetal around the eyes and light blue on the eyes themselves. I used a bit of thinner and little paint to make the paint smooth out. Didn’t need much. Gave it to my kid. The head is glued I would not recommend trying to pop it apart. I used to have 3. Silver might make it look more like the Original toy.

 

anyone know if the arm pins can be tapped out like normal pins or if they have to be heated like typical mushroom pins?

 

Would not recommend GM. They destroyed my SS Thrust.

 

I think the Gundam Marker tip is too big. You’d need something small and precise. The only time i used a Gundam Marker for eyes was for TLK Optimus cuz Hasbro just slathered on a disgusting sky blue paint. I just painted it all silver.

 

I would recommend a round size 00 brush to get into the eyes neatly. Use any light blue acrylic paint and apply it in multiple thin coats.

 

The light piping sucks ass on this guy, and I smudged a little on his helmet, which I will take care of later. But he looks way better with gold eyes.
