The extra parts for Sweeps made it too tempting to get several extras which in turn would have meant less cash for more original moulds so I talked myself out of it!  

Pipes is now in the country according to the tracking info so should be with me in a few days.

Intrested to see if anything new gets revealed at TFCON.

 

One of the designers recently inferred on twitter or instagram or one of them, that ss skids and mudflap will happen someday. But no hint if its the ice cream truck or the chevy versions.

I’m sure the Chevy versions will happen because people kind of need them to complete their collections

 

Mine are Siege quality. The shuttle is better than the two-pack release I got too as the wings aren't bent up by the packaging.

Hope so. I gave up waiting thinking they would never do them so bought the rotf deluxes last year. Although a tenner for the pair, so can't complain. Not sure if I'd go for ss versions now, guess it would heavily depend on what they looked like and how much they cost.

 

After watching that Jazz review just the addition of the grappling hook has damn near sold me on it!

Hmm...Transformers, Battle of the Planets, Thundercats, He-man, MASK and Ulysses 31 all kick harder than Ducktales in my opinion

 

Yeah, I think Thundercats is a stormer.

 

The Thundercats intro was too good, on its own, an absolute banger, but it promised a pace, level of action and intensity, and animation standard the show could never live up to. But it also told you nothing about the show.

MOTU probably has the best intro for an 80s cartoon, it tells you who he main character is, how his shit works, where they are, who the baddies are, and what the stakes are. All while being fun and catchy.

As far as Kid's cartoon themes that hits harder than Ducktales, M.A.S.K and Transformers (particularly Season 2) definitely kick arse harder. I'd argue that the 2017 Ducktakes theme is better than the original

As far as I'm concerned Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends had such a unique theme and groove that slaps far harder than it has any right to and musically is a masterpiece

 

I am at least a little pleased that in a very limited sense Star Wars and Buzzlight Year shows Action Vehicles can still be a thing. even if the action is minimal in both cases.

Swat Kats would be very nice to get a licensed plane sometime it's a really nice jet. and figures wouldn't be bad either they'd kinda fit in with Turtles decently too.

Oh and weird thought C.O.P.S. is kinda like the Ancient progenitor of Gi Joe Classified in a way. I knew where mine were i'd fish them out and do a side by side.... *maybe the internet already has*.

I got to thinking about MASK as a larger size as a means to show off the designs at a larger size and also they didn't alway just use the Vehicles on the show. So it would be a kind of Cartoon Homage to do Figures and besides some of the Vehicles would work at the larger size too anyway such as the Motorcycles.

I would worry they'd want to Haslab any other bigger ones though. & the Battlepacks would work great as giftset figures too if upscaled.
I certainly think it's worth doing it as Gi Joe / MASK Collaboration gift set of Matt Trakker and Miles Mayhem. & if they get a positive response they could do Gloria Baker and Vanessa Warfield or a Multi-Pack of the Rhino Crew.

 

Didn’t all work, the handles are too fragile and most broke off, but it does improve the bot modes no end having blades, and I can fix the issues with plasticard I think. Need to brighten the sword hilts, just had a base colour so far but not terrible at all

 

One of the great things about being partially desensitised to second hand embarassment by things like Bay Movies and Modern Star Trek is I can now watch Turtles 2 without cringing at Vanilla Ice.

Have you considered drilling the handle out and gluing a panel pin into the handles to make them stronger & resistant to breaking. You can also rack them onto magnets then too.

Definitely one of those "it's right there hasbro!" Obvious repaint opportunities. Made all the worse when CW Hot spots alt mode was fricking closer in appearance to pyros alt mode than his own g1 alt. But then they used the mold for pyra magna and inferno?!

true. But to me MASK and Wheeled Warriors bring it in buckets.

... and as far as 90s cartoons go, this and the theme to teknoman and xmen are permanently jammed in my brain.
