This mainline prime is low key underrated. I thought it would be cool if ROTB prime can borrow some transformation steps from ER Prime so it can be better than ss38 (no arm truck kibble, better torso silhouette etc). The designers actually IMPROVED on some aspects of ER Prime's transformation. They made the bumper with wheels less obvious on the front view of the robot mode and they managed to simplify the truck grill transformation. They did simplify some aspects though to the detriment of the figure.

 

I think once it comes out and people have it in hand, it could become more liked.

 

So who's in the main line we know about? And wasn't there mention that the leaked figures we saw are Buzzworthy exclusives?

And it seems in addition to a regular retail release Nightbird, Wheeljack and Cheetor might be apart of a Buzzworthy pack.

 

The more I look at this, the more I want it. Like for what it is, I like what I see. And I like to see what a figure can do with its obvious limited budget.

 

Really like how they got around the problems of ss38 and incorporated an evolution of ER Primes transformation. There is reason to be optimistic for studio series rotb prime.

 

For what this is and being a more budgeted line they did a good job on him. But thats the version I'm looking forward to and likely going to get.

Saw Voyager Prime at a Walmart in Missouri tonight... all by himself. Didn’t know he was released here in that States yet alongside all the Alliance figures etc. Has anybody found Voyager Rhinox over here yet, or are they still just Taiwan sightings?

 

Still just Taiwan sightings, though it’s likely it’s in U.S. ports by now.

 

The lack of color breakup is kind of annoying. I don't know why they decided to remove the bits of red he had on his abs in the BBM design. It's just some color.

Headsculpt looks weird, and some other things bug me but I think he looks okay. Despite to me being one of the weaker offerings from this mainline.

Will pass and get the SS version which hopefully looks good.
