That can happen. I'm not gonna get this and I don't really think it's worth the price (if it is $35) but that being said for a more kid's targeted budgeted line it's far from terrible and I think it's better than the Earthspark deluxes (minus Twitch) that are out currently. But again will pass and get the Buzzworthy figure probably.

While tiny I think it's nice to see Voyagers back in a mainline, makes me wish Earthspark had Voyagers even more.

 

Think of it like this… you’re a kid you just watched the movie… you want Optimus Prime. You go to Walmart and pass an adult drooling over the Optimus at check out. You race to the toy department and he’s gone…

Again that doesn't follow. The solution in that case is to make more of the wanted toy. There is no way to make being cheap and over charging beneficent.

Let Mom and Dad or the Kid decide how much it’s worth. I’d buy one for my kids but they are grown. Was gonna get one for a grandchild later on down the road… but he is too small and I’d have to buy everything for scale… not doing that again.
If I’m understanding correctly this is deliberately a Large Core Class figure. Meant to be in the Core(budget toy) line. He doesn’t scale with Any SS bay or bee Movie figures he’s to small. This line is a Standalone for this Movie only. The Studio series toys will scale with Everything else.

 

Hope in the future they make a special edition of this mold comes with a fitting trailer with more functionality.

I really wish he had a trailer in the movie itself, now that I think about it. Always like seeing whatever new function his trailer has.

 

It's interesting to me that this figure will probably scale with SS Bayverse Optimus in both modes pretty well. The same way SS Core Bumblebee scales better with SS32 than the deluxe Bee does

 

It is very refreshing to open a thread for a newly unveiled Hasbro product, and to not see the usual overwhelming blind praise that usually results with new toy reveals.

The only way Hasbro, or any company for that matter, will improve their output is for people to speak up when they deliver low quality product, especially when we know they have and can do better than this.

 

there is no blind praise. this looks good for a mainline optimus the ss one will be more accurate but this is good

I haven't painted a movie figure in years. I'm gonna go all out on that optimus. Paint all the gray silver bronze ect. Panel lining. A pretty metal blue. Is this figure out?

 

Hoping some 3rd Party company makes an OS knockoff of this to regular (or even pre-WFC) voyager size (17-18 cm tall), and that swapping out the waist and legs with those of a SS38 (or knock off, don't want to butcher my SS38) is viable. Want an upsized torso/truck cab of this coupled with the truck bed (and weapon storage) of the SS38. That with a little paint would make this thing a damn fine Optimus Prime toy.

 

At that point just get the Buzzworthy SS ROTB Prime that is coming.
