Especially since he isn't due for the later part of the year, part of me thinks that they are changing the SS figure to look slightly more accurate compared to the jazz look-alike we saw with that first render. The full advertising is kicking off about now anyways.

Primal looks so... terrible? I don\'t mean the model is bad. I mean he looks like he was blown up and cobbled together with organic skin bolted on him here and there like a Frankenstein\'s monster. The skin on his chest looks so haphazardly placed. I wonder if being technoorganic was just a last ditch effort they did to save their lives?

 

I mean... That was what they all had to do in the original show. Granted, the reason was due to the absurd amounts of raw energon all over the planet so they had to hide in the organic forms or else, death. As to why they're techno-organic in ROTB, we're not sure yet if there even is a reason.

Side note: I'm fairly certain "1987 Freightliner FLA" is wrong, and might have just been pulled from Optimus' Bumblebee listing on IMCDb.org. He's most likely a late FLT, but I guess it's possible they used FLAs modified to look like FLTs.

Director said that the idea behind their beast designs is that when they landed on earth 100000000000000000000000000000000000 years ago they had proper "synthetic" fake skin. What we see in the present in the film is their worn-out synthetic skin that has been damaged overtime, exposing the cybertronian metal underneath.

You click on the lines in the top right corner of the app when you go to scan, and then the list is under "STATUE LOCATIONS":
