So, are we expecting perhaps DA-99 will be Set B and DA-100 will be Cloud Across?

    Please? :D

DA-91 has clips that can be used to connect it to DA-65’s Pod Grander. They could also be used to connect two DA-91s together.

You could also “strip down” a DA-91 to be the same as the Expansion, but the clips included with DA-91 are longer than the ones that come with the actual Expansion set, so connecting just that to a DA-65 Pod Grander in the same way as an Expansion set connects isn’t possible with the parts that come with DA-91.

But 91 is still totally worth getting.

it’s demand. Not scalping. These things are long sold and there’s more people now collecting Diaclone than there was when these items came out. Scalping would require one person scooping up massive amounts of store stock to prevent others from getting it to then sell it as a profit. Thats not what’s happening here. There’s little turn around of product to meet the demand of everyone who wants to take part of this toy line. These things are produced in the same numbers as Transformers are so essentially in short supply already after they get released. So let’s relax on the use of scalping here. It’s high want and low supply.

Pod Expander comes with enough clips to join it to one pod. That requires 8 clips. It uses short clips. 91 uses a mix of 6 long clips and 2 short clips to connect the gantry portion to the pod. I want to say the spacing on the long gantry clips are off ans not the same as compared to the short clips on the expansion/pod grander. But I believe you can combine gantries together though.

Well DA-25 was a repaint set, Maneuver Alpha & Beta Set "α Prototype & β Space Marine Corps Ver."...

    But, DA-50 was Gigantor [DA-76 (& DA-76) were Evol-Gigantor]

So it could be something big, or not... I'm just going to wait and see. As someone said, they haven't been making a huge deal of numbers so far and including exclusives and separately released variants, unnumbered sets, and sub-sets, there have now been 127 announced items already.

    Agreed.

You can connect a Pod Gantry to a Pod Grander fine. You just can't solidly connect 2 Pod Gantrys perfectly. If you are trying to connect a Pod to a "Max-series" Convoy, there is no charging cable except with DA-65. The pods are self-propelled per at least one panel so it most likely isn't a priority in cannon...

Yeah, TT doesn’t really seem to make the numbers special, as we’ve seen with the Masterpiece line. I was somewhat disappointed they missed the opportunity of making Megatron MP-38. :D

In any case, we’re now two releases away from DA-100 and in my opinion that’s something to celebrate!!

    Meanwhile… awwwwww yeah!!!!

Personally, I feel gigantor (or evol gigantor) are the best waruder entries in the line and I’d go for that over vajra but YMMV.

This set keeps getting better and better. Was away on business for about a week, definitely some cool stuff to come back too.

Looking at the shape of those gun bases (not the guns themselves!), could they combine into something larger together with the B set, Multiforce-14-style? The sloped bases could be the front half of a pair of feet, and the other bases that fit onto the flight deck really look similar to the waist part of Multiforce, right down to the bits that can fold down...

my two cents: $200 for a Pod Grander extension are still a better investment than $200 for three Tactical Carriers.
TCs are almost positioned as smaller alternatives to PG, the reality is they are glorified raid chambers, especially if you follow the official recommendations and buy two to separately stuff Tactical Movers and their accessories.
I spent a similar amount on two additional DA-80 legs, and even that is more entertaining.

    My recommendation:

    as a compromise,
    DA-93 $350
    DA-91 $200
    DA-nope Pod Grander Extension $200

    might even be better than

    DA-65 V-Max $800
    DA-85 Powered Greater $220
    DA-nope Pod Grander Extension $200

    and probably better than

    TC x 6 $480

For limited budgets, I would skip all of that and focus on DA-80. If you already have DA-80, Pod Gantry could be the next best thing.

Bringing logical arguments into a frothing fan forum?! How dare!

But you bring up some good points honestly. I’m still shocked you found someone who rated out a DA-80…. And honest $200 for extra legs (and feet- did you get the VERS cores/bullet fighters too?) I’d a solid deal.

Other than DA-65’s Pod Grander bring so unique at this point… I would argue that double Gantries is better play at this point. I personally cap my pods at x2 long because x3 starts getting long and (imo) x4 is just bonkers [keep in mind Grand Dion is going to be x4 long-ish]

You’d have to dig in the thread a bit. But seeing some of the group members uses of Gantry x2 has made me very jealous! You get two sets of arms to effectively mimic a ‘repair cage’ and that’s some big hanger every right there.

I do like the Tactical Carriers as the spiritual successor to the DA-19 Land Battlecruiser, and the customizable trailers do decent work… but they’re no Pod.

The only downside is we to this configuration… I’m not sure the foreword bay-doors can open unless that lower turret has clearance to rotate 180.

    upload_2023-3-9_0-34-43.png
This is giving me major flashbacks to DA-14/19 with the ‘armored up turrets’ hell of a call back. I also like that it covers the mirrored lower deck plates (which I’m surprised they reproduced- since that’s the underside is the actual launch ramps. But I know OG GRB had them like that.

I also like the Turret Fighters (?) on the waist/hips. I might actually keep them docked there in carrier/land mode and just keep the AA-guns/deck stowed (assuming there’s collision).
great catch! I might finally have drill replacements for DA-80. For some reason ‘Ye olde gun domes’ just don’t look quite as good on him as Destroyer… I’m guessing it’s the difference in head and cannon designs (though I know you can swap the pile cannons with DA-81s)

This might be a personal question but, how many did you buy?

I also saw this on Facebook and while I can completely understand and agree with the logical progression from one idea to another it's a bit of a stretch to say that they're the same thing.

Yup, the Carrier mode set is the one I'm most excited for too, to the point where I don't mind at all if that set ends up being more expensive so they can make the absolute most out of it's potential.

Same, they had a whole raft of ideas for similar playsets too. :(

I don't recall this one at all unless you're talking about a vintage product?

Nice, storage confirmed for the bullet turret and I hadn't realised the main turrets could also slide.

Giagantor (either ver) is a fantastic toy but Vajra is far more flexible/versatile to my mind, is much cheaper of course and most importantly very recent and still available so I'd say start there, then get some suits or one of the creature sets to explore the Waruder building system before they throw down huge money trying to get a Gigantor.

Finally I loled when seeing that they didn't even try to put this title into English for the nameplate.

Oh! I didn’t catch the turret slide, wonder if that’s how you might still be able to open the front hatches! I’m with you on being most excited for the carrier expansion… really hoping we get more base fighters! But I could see them giving us something else too (or just keeping costs down).

these are exciting more and more… I didn’t think GRB needed turrets on his hips, but w/o them it looks pretty bland (also an armored/flying version of the AA guns).
Didn’t OG GRB have ‘crew able missiles for whatever crazy reason? I wonder if these are modern sense able replacements.
I wonder if I’ll regret just buying one set….

Yea I'd much rather a pricey set that is awesome and full of features than a cheaper on that isn't that exciting :p

Also a side-note, has anyone else thought about the fact that the 2x rear cannons (on the elevators) are never pictured when in robot mode?

Maybe they're just stowed away in the elevator shafts... But I wonder if there is any good way to attach them for more firepower lol

    -EDIT-

Also the other day we were talking about the little slots on the bottom of cosmo roller. Looks like they are indeed for storage...

I would take this approach if I could find a Pod Expander for $200. The only ones I'm finding where I'm looking (US Ebay) are $1000+. For the expander, yes. If there is somewhere else i could look that isn't sold out, please advise and I'll go that route.

I'll go with DA-80 if I must, but I don't prefer the Drill shoulders compared to, say, DA-17 or even DA-14.

Regarding TC x 6 - I presume Tactical Carrier? I'm not following how those would be substitutes for the Pod Grander/Gantry/Expansion? Did you mean as a layout alternative for a base layout?

Based on the replies, I'm still slightly confused. I'll rephrase and hopefully clear that up for myself:
    • DA-91 - can properly connect to Pod Grander (DA-65)?
    • Proper numer of clips provided between DA-65 (1) and DA-91 (1) together?
    • DA-91 is not a viable multi-unit solution/replacement for Pod Expander because of the type and number of relevant clips necessary?
Per @Spikeytigertron suggestion, I'll go digging back-thread for visual examples of DA-91. I'm nice realizing that I probably should have done so already, but I'm also in "anxiety mode" because I'm playing catch up, and because my specific questions may not be addressed previously.

And mad respect and gratitude to all views and opinions offered. It really helps guide this new fan and I've sang the praises of it to IRL friends whom I've gushed to about Diaclone Reboot - specifically with the showcase of Grand Dion.

Hi, thinking about let some pieces go and need help for pricing.
Toys have been taken out of the box, transformed/assembled/combined, photographed and then stored away.
Magnetic strips and monitor stickers have been applied to Battle Convoy V-Max.
