I add this to the pile of reasons why i wouldn't buy anything from this guy. He makes relatively decent stuff, but i wouldn't buy even Sentinel quality stuff at budget price from a guy with his attitude.
Hahahaha! Yes, dipshit created the concept of a rifle case, opening back pack, and a rifle that can be disassembled. I’m sure he has the patent for such things and gets a royalty every time they are used.
He's been an asshole ever since he realized he was going to lose tons of business once Hasbro started doing 6" GI Joes. Especially since all he's got are a bunch of nobodies, a few lapsed trademarks, and two Sgt. Slaughters that most are now trying to unload for less than what they paid now that Hasbro made their own Slaughter. It's pretty clear he's got sour grapes and feels personally slighted by Classified.
Not only that, but Lenny even SAID that’s where they got the idea from. They aren’t even pretending it’s a new idea, but classified is about trying to deliver accessories that previous figures came with.
BBTS has them up, TCP will have them up shortly, and Vala does himself no favors with his attitude. I suspect TCP will have the Pulse exclusives also, and early, but at a higher price, as they typically source them from Hasbro's Asian market. "It's beginning to look a lot like Dickmas..."
Well that would be dumb considering they have often been specifically picking Classified Characters who had a repaint in Tiger Force, Night Attack, Python Patrol or Marauders. I can only imagine that is why they'd pick Low Light at this point for example. I think it's 'Best Practice' to not have 'Named Characters' repainted out at the same time, I don't think it matters at all for Army Builders that much though. But some slight seperation is a good idea usually. If oly because it enables new collectors to get at least 'some version' of the character if they can't get the original deco. Heavy Artillary Roadblock already looks a heck of a lot like the Tiger Force one as it is, enough perhaps to just stick Duke's hat on him and say "it will do". But maybe they can mix it up a bit with a T-Shirt print or a tatto to make him more than a "slight repaint" I would like to see a different gun next time though. Flint in Classic Garb seems something they'd likely do once they bring back the classic line in 2024. It would ideally complement Lady Jaye too. I think a Classics Duke would be an obvious choice too considering how hard to get Duke is and the complaints some have about his outfit. I'm not sure where Shipwreck in other colours would fit in, so I guess a later wave with different weapons and minor tweaks might be a benefiicail choice, but the current one is quite sufficent for me for a while (years even) I do half wonder if they'd do a Gi joe Classified Sailors 2 Pack sometime or is that two obscure or to Super 7 like? I wouldn't Prioritise Dusty for Classics as I don't see much wrong with the current one. But then I didn't see much need for another Lady Jaye so quickly either. I supposed a Tiger Force deco on him wouldn't be terrible though. Going on design alone not what was previously made Beachhead could work for Tigerforce or Maurauders I'd think. But they could also expand the Night Attack / Night Force idea to both factions and put him in a line like that too. I think he'd suit that. I think it might be nice for them to swap out some of the figures from giftsets into the mainline where feasible. So a Python Engineer (from the Hiss Tank set) as a main item, could be sold with a bunch of tools and such which would enhance the existing Hiss set and so reduce people's complaints a bit. Likewise I think one of the Alternative Cobra Python Patrol decos applied to a trooper and sell that with a Python Pod would make a lot of sense and then put the normal Python Televiper in a box. That way people can get the mould at a more reasonable price and they'd get a bunch of Cobra Troopers to army build which is "useful" not Python Televipers (which isn't) ---- Copperhead seems suited to Python Patrol but as there was one orginally. & though the colours are similar to his original they don't look bad on him. When it comes to Coils I think a Blue Alley Viper on a Blue (Cobra Army colour) Coil Cycle would be super nice, the Bike also might look nice in Black too in a Night Attack line. Alternatively a Cobra Officer or even a Python Viper Officer alternative deco on a Python Coil Might work if they give it a nice diamond pattern deco on the bike. Python Style Croc Master would be lovely (at some point) But I want them to brand the Crocodile as another Crocodile not Fiona to explain it being red coloured better = Ideally a male one. As a Pointed out before I can see a Dusty and Sandstorm deluxe set out of mostly existing parts being quite possible to produce if they wanted too. I get you but to me at least Tiger Force Dusty is a little well "stupid" conceptually speaking. So I pretend that one doesn't exist as much as possible Much as I would with Tiger Force Frostbite, Shipwreck. Life Line is a problem as I greatly prefer his Tiger Force Deco, but I also like Doc more than Life LIne. So I don't know, if they make Life Line just as he has a repaint he's going to shelf hug and maybe they have to put up with being shouted at and make a Tiger Force Life Line first and then a normal red Deco in the Classic 'Retro' Line's return in 2024, I just know RIGHT now, I'd rather have Doc. Kinda like I really like some of Stalkers alt Outfits, but we still need his normal one so I have to say "yes please but a bit later" on those. Tiger Force does give Hasbro and excuse to make Trip Wire a bit quicker though I guess. As for adding to the roster.. well I can't say I'd object to a Tiger Force Breaker really. & if they want to do Tiger Force Jinx First and then make her in Red Later On, I'm OK with that too. Especially if they might want to do a Girl Red Ninja at some point so a degree of seperation would allow that better. I agree with Dial Tone being pushed up the order a bit too his Tiger Force Deco is also very appealing too as well as him being a decent design overall. Tigerforce Beachhead is "OK" too. a Bit Orange but not ugly. The old Tigerforce Mutt is a bit odd looking but if that existing ups Mutt up the order that is all good too. Airtight looks a bit silly in Tiger Force too but it's a cool Silly I'd kinda like to own. Shame the based Alpine on his less cool outfit for Tiger force. Stalker is a bit hit or miss depending on the version, I'm not against the idea overall though. Going just one what looks nice though I find Sneak Peak quite appealing. And Tunnel Rat works nicely too. but I like the Night Force one a lot as well and that may work better in some ways, but either is fine they both look real nice. I get why they pick what they pick but to be honest there is several characters and designs in the "fancy outfit" crowd I rather like so I am happy enough. & well anyone who has access to some sand might get more fun out of Tiger Force too. Fingers crossed for a Ferret / Tiger Paw though too. ------ Some of the later Python Patrol items are a lot of dumb fun too such as the Laser Viper. I also notice there was a Televiper "Python" Officer so I guess they could do that too if they wanted too as the single boxed item. to give it a bit of sepeation from the normal TeliViper But what about this for an idea the Gi Joe Motorcycle mould repainted as Python Patrol and sold with this guy : 'Relampago' or something based on him as some sort of Motorcycle guy... if they wanted to be clever they could sell it as a more expensive vehicle with a sidecar replacing the minigun. The Sidecar could even have a removable top plate and future mini vehicles & gear items or even an ammo crate could be mounted on the frame instead. Just to be a bit out of left field about it.
All these pre-orders from today. Hasbro Pulse said Sept 1 and Sept 15 while BBTS has a combination of July 2023 and Sept 2023. Wonder why BBTS thinks they're Scrap Iron and Bazooka a month or two early? And Scrap Iron has now sold out on Pulse. Happens sometimes and they list more later.
Hahaha, nice! Didn’t Bullhorn have a disassembled gun case in the 3.75 ARAH days? He probably invented that too. (And the internet!)
Moreso it’s not like he created something uniquely brilliant and applied it to a character that was unexpected. He simply took common elements of the concept of a sniper and applied it to a sniper and thus they have now become part of the character’s history. If he was some genius designer he’d have come up with a new and unique design for Low-Lighy that would have been as beloved as the original design.
Great figure. You can see the hole in his chest for the sparking effect, but it's not in the clear shield. Holy smokes the S7 version is YUGE! It's a bummer that the old 25th BAT has a claw that opens/closes but both larger versions don't. C'mon, man!
Cobra Night Watch is one of my favorite brief subsets... https://www.figurerealm.com/galleries/gijoe25thanniversary/CobraNightWatch-Front.jpg
