Did anyone else have trouble popping Montana’s upper torso upward? I’ve tried using quite a bit of force and I’m worried I’m going to break it. Is it possible the screws are too tight? If you don’t pop the torso up, his backpack sits too high and pretty much ruins the look of robot mode. Great figure otherwise.
The vexing problem with DX9 is they're extremely elusive to communicate with. I don't profess to be "well connected", but I have repeatedly attempted to get online stores to reach out with queries on my/our behalf. As we already know - the company - or perhaps more correctly the factory - still functions in some capacity. The recent preorder & reissue for another production run of Capone is evidence of this. If only someone in authority would take charge - or perhaps someone new to the hierarchy would step up and finish the last 2 G2 Stunticons. And the alluring and enticing reality that it would generate revenue should provide an incentive to action this. One would hope anyway..... The great irony here is the same communication silence is prevalent with the competition's version of Menasor. Over at Fans Toys no information is forthcoming - and hasn't been in the recent past - about completion of their version. Which to DX9's credit - at least the finished the G1 set!
Great points. I love my 4 FT Stunticons, but I'm wary of FT's price hikes on recent figures and reissues and how that might translate to Bandit and combiner parts. If their final release pushes above $300 USD, I'm out, and will sell the bots I have in favour of DX9's Menasor.
At this point, it would make sense to just put out a menasor boxed set. Fanstoys isn't finishing theirs anytime soon, and xtb has had their dead end reissue up for preorder for a year or two.
Maybe its just me - bur G2 Henry/Wildrider is impossible to find at the moment - can anyone point me to a store that has in stock please? However Breakdown and Dragstip in G2 colours seem readily available
Thanks dude. So tempting to start on the G2 versions. But hard to go in when there's still 2 missing. Its a shame XTB were the only 3P who did a complete G2 set. I think DX9's version would've looked better (personally).
The Gabriel reissue is hitting, and lots of smashed styrofoam and heavily scratched figures on Facebook. Here's to hoping the Capone reissue doesn't suffer a similar fate.
It’s always been that way with Gabriel for the styrofoam, figure is too heavy for it. Capone comes in a giant plastic clamshell. So while the plastic clamshell might get cracked or broken, Capone should be fine. Mine was perfectly fine when I got the original release.
