I was checking Amazon and I happened to stumble upon a page for what could be the first DVD for Transformers Earth Spark.

    Amazon.com

If this is true glad new home media exists for Transformers again but sucks its DVD as usual.

Why DVD? For goodness sake, can these shows get some 4k up in here?

Because it's cheaper, than release on 4k Blu-ray.

Blu-Ray would obviously be preferred, but I’m excited for any physical Transformers media these days!

As a parent, it's nice that kids shows come in DVD format. I don't need to be spending 4k prices for a handful of Paw Patrol episodes. They also don't make affordable portable 4k players that I'm aware of. So when we want to use those kinds of things for travel it's also handy to have DVDs.

Right?! After the great HBO Max purge of 2022 it's nice to see some studios still putting value on physical ownership.

    Duh.

Yes, even Blu-ray would be nice. Prime was produced in that format as well as DVD (IIRC, I have the Blu-rays, so I'm not 100% certain at this point.) Options are great for everyone. DVD for those who want it cheap and easy (no knock, there), or Blu-ray for those who want the best experience. (It's because they're trying to get you to subscribe to Paramount+, really. Honestly, it's worth it for me, hard sell for others I'd say.)

DVDs are a nice option for those who can't afford high-quality streaming or TVs (DVD players are cheaper than most of them), and they're also useful for preserving media.

Was Cyberverse ever on a channel? It felt like a YouTube series that Netflix picked up later.

Full episodes of G1, BW, Prime, RID2015, some of the Cyberverse series are on Hasbro's YouTube channel in 1080p (https://www.youtube.com/@hasbropulse/playlists & https://www.youtube.com/@TransformersOfficial/playlists). Some maybe day Hasbro can put the full Cyberverse series on YT as well. For those that knows their ways, they can make a DVD out of them I guess? My laptop doesn't even have a DVD/Blu-ray drive so it's not even an option unless I dig up an old PC? Not sure if it's legal and surely quite a hassle though.

I would figure that a large chunk of people that buy physical media today are interested in the quality and the preservation. While Blu-Rays have historically not been the highest seller, I would think there'd be an evening market for HD media versions as well. Especially since with game consoles people are more likely now to have Blu-Ray players than standard dvd.

The last actual DVD set we got was Season 1 of RiD15, and numerous Random single DVD's of Rescue Bots (truly random episodes weren't even in order).

I'm so glad we have all of Prime on Blu Ray, it my favorite show after the original. But I'm still hoping for BWII, BW Neo, Car Robots/RID, RID15 (season 2-4), the Machinima shows (TR and PotP), the Netflix WFC, Rescue Bots, Rescue Bots Academy (complete series in Order), and Cyberverse to all have Physical media Releases.
