Tarantulas is so unexpectedly wholesome.

I was expecting some kind of betrayal at the end, but he was genuine and was even willing to take the hit for the Terrans.

Yes, it's the opposite of who he originally was, but damn do I nonetheless like this new take. Hope to see more of him.
Also, Nightshade had an absolute glow-up. Love their new design.

 

Let's be honest, Tarantulas was absolutely Doc Ock, from Spiderman 2. An eight legged scientist that serves as a mentor for the nerdy kid, only to become a misguided villain, but is ultimately redeemed in the end.

 

From personal experience, 100% agreed. It would be great if that's a theme they explore, but a lot of us in that are part of that community are not ready for that conversation, let alone a scifi tv show.

 

Watched the current episodes so far and Earthspark has become my most hated TF show. That is all.

 

I hate how I’m gonna have to wait months for Keith David. The 3 second clip that was posted has made the wait even more agonizing because it sounds SO DAMN GOOD!!! Like, at least Starscream got like 5 lines, which was amazing to hear, but Grimlock had none and I’m not a big fan of that

 

man, now i REALLY wish paramount would release these closer together, these episodes go hard!

Nightshade is awesome.

I was scared their.. flamboyance was going to be kinda a reference to them being non-binary, and it come off as insulting. But once they showed that Nightshade is pretty much a mad scientist.. I just accept it's a dramatic flare.  

 

I was SOOOOOOO hoping Bumblebee's "brother" was gonna be Cliffjumper.

 

I enjoyed the episodes! The only one that came off weak to me was the bear episode. Other then that it's fine. Love the new Terrans! I actually wasn't gonna buy any figures from es but I've decided to at least get the Terrans! Twitch is already out and nightshade is coming, that leaves thrash, jawbreaker, and hashtag. Also I'm disappointed with shockwave's toy design. It's just a recolored cyberverse figure. He's design is awesome I love the alien crab tank it's similar but different to his cyberverse design. They could at least remold it like they did to Optimus.

 

Damn it, Earthspark is doing incredible! The new episodes are (mostly) enjoyable. Some little opinions of mine for each of em (with spoilers of course):
11th
Like the idea of Hashtag being the Hacker-bot; her design is not bad for me and clearly possible to be executed as a toy. The ability to hack any wi-fi is absolutely insane, and I hope the writers will use it in the right way in future episodes
12th
Seems more like a filler episode to me; though it does some good character development
13th
I was afraid that Nightshade's role in the story would be too bland and extremely focused on their's non-binarity, and I'm glad to see that it didn't turn out like that and they are basically Owlman who knows how to science. Tarantulas turned out to be an enjoyable character; though, his motivation to blend in with humans would probably suit somebody from the Pretenders better.

The portrayal of Breakdown in the episode kinda reminds me of UT Scavenger - G1 look, different personality. Overall, another amazing episode

16th
Almost stopped watching it at the middle, was tired to look through the same flashback sequence for like the 4th time. Fight with Shockwave is almost ruined because of some poor writing and lame music. The only thing that saves it is the man himself: ES Shockwave is menacing as hell and is worthy of standing along other Shockwaves. His altmode is so goofy though; hope Hasbro will understand someday that rollerskating tanks do not work as altmodes for Transformers and suit better for cartoons like TMNT. Also I hate how Starscream was heavily implied to be a big time villan in the first batch of the season and got to say like 3 lines only in flashbacks.
17th and 18th
A good conclusion to the 2nd part of the season, though still almost ruined by poor writing (poorly handled Brawl, Cybertronians, freely walking on the streets, etc.). Laserbeak and Frenzy are cheesy, hope to see more of that duo later. Mandroid is creepy and badass; truly a good successor to Silas and Dr. Arkeville
Overall opinion: good but definitely not perfect, will wait for the 8 remaining episodes

 

Don't forget Warrior Thrash. Don't know whether or not I'll personally be picking up any ES toys, but I have to admit Warrior Thrash looks good and would probably look good alongside the Deluxes.

 

Nightshade is a flamboyant mad scientist batman and if that's not the greatest combination of character traits then nothing is

 

The Breakdown episode has been my favorite so far. I've really been enjoying this series and if it continues this level of quality this may end up being one of the best Transformers shows ever produced.

 

They made Tarantulus a lot less creepy in this…. It’s a good character, it’s just weird overlapping with a character I know would eat humans for nutrition if the energon was low enough or if the human was annoying enough.

 

Yeah I forget about warrior class. Thrash looks good but I think I'm gonna wait for the deluxe, then I can decide which one I like more.

 

Anyone know where I can Watch Earthspark illegally? Having a tough time finding the new episodes
