I feel like leaders suffered the most from Hasbro's penny-pinching. While the price hike wasn't as steep as some other size classes (deluxes have doubled in the last ten years, voyagers only went up by 1/3). Leaders generally suffered a steep decline, from the VERY stiff Prime Wars leaders to voyagers with some stuff of the WfC leaders.

Messing with some old movie leaders I can't help but feel like they would be sold for $100 by modern Hasbro and they would skimp out on paint and half the figure would be translucent plastic.

 

Wish Scourge with fully potential in ROTB be like

 

looks great, but would work better for me if had the 07 arcee colors(fingers crossed we get that eventually)

Out of curiosity (this isn't for sale...at least as of now) how much does this fella with the Reprolabels and upgrade kit go for???

 

Talked to a cousin of mine who said he would be traveling to Japan in a few days and I asked if I can pay him to find me some Japanese exclusive movieverse transformer from over there. He's a collector of anime things himself, and he was down to do it. Any recommended movie verse figs that are worth the grab in Japan? I was thinking maybe like that AOE Army Camo Hound with the black guns, or the takara HFTD battle blades Optimus that has the hooks and the grey plastic instead of the weird orange bits. He said he probably one would only have room for one to take back so maybe not a Movie the Best Leader Class figure their boxes are too large.

I have no idea what the market there is like, like how and where you'd get those figures in physical places if it's an older figure or some comic/toy shop that has a lot of tf related stuff. Too used to seeing empty Walmart and Target shelves.

 

  No way was he the only good thing, Nitro and Scorn were absolute bangers! Some of my favorite voyager class figures.

 

Japan is a great place to find transformers both old and new. Trouble is expect to pay a good amount for the rare stuff. Some places absolutely know what they have. For instance I finally found a sidearm sideswipe there MISB but it was like $120. I did end up getting the dotm “Laserbeak” (pink deluxe bee) for like $50.

Alternately if your friend is down to really hunt for you you can find crazy exclusives for $30 sometimes.

 

i've heard that 07 arcee actually scales really good with the 07 MP autobots, zanyone have a pic of that can put one together? i think thats a great group that we should have seen on screen

Nope, Mine was fine. I was transforming him slowly and gently though.

 

Well, you are lucky. I am not sure to pre-order this figure due to the QC and design problems it have.

 

We will just havw to wait and see, it could he a problem with them because they are not 100% finished figures.

 

I've transformed him twice into truck mode with no problems. And now just this moment, I transformed him a 3rd time, no problems.


Note: No, the trailer does not peg in, I had to lay it on top. I just have it there to make the picture more exciting.

 

Two people have had cracks on pre-production copies and all of a sudden the figure is a QC nightmare or whatever. Sigh.
