If you count Beast Wars and Beast Machines as one story, that makes it the longest running Transformers TV show with 5 seasons right? I'm assuming that we're going to get a 3rd season of Animated because it seems to be performing well, but I'm wondering how much after that we can hope for.

Third season is go, confirmed and in production. Hopefully we get a forth but unless they can think up a good way of expanding it I don't know about a fifth.

I a perfect world it wouldn't end.

Hasbro has mentioned that as long as the series is popular and the toys sell well, animated could go on for several years.
Unlike the last 3 series which were designed with a beginning, middle, and end, animated is set up more open-ended.

 

which is a good thing, it's not limited to ho episodes have to pan out.

Icould see animated going on at least a couple more years, hopefully we get a new opening sequence every year and will have a choice of whether to buy movie or animated toys.

 

I hope it lasts at least as long as the movie franchise.

It's nice to have such contrasting aesthetics on the market at the same time.

 

Ditto. I LOVE how different the shelves will look in '09. "Traditional" TF aesthetics in Universe, cartoony aesthetics in Animated, ultra-realistic, alien aesthetics in TF2. This is truly the best hobby ever, there really is something for everyone.

 

I hope Animated goes on forever and has DTV movies.

 

Well season three was confirmed at the last botcon with the statement "season three is gonna start with a bang" so I can see this running up to 4 or 5 seasons(Hopefully 5)

 

That's what you want out of the toyline like this. Something for everybody.

 

Well, most CN originals have a run of five seasons, so that's what I expect here.


Oh...and a video game. There HAS to be a video game

 

We dont have the 1st wave toys at retail and the 2nd season just started. I would like the show to last 6-8 seasons.

 

I hope animated goes on for quite a while.
Even better if it means we get a video game out of it.

 

I thought hasbro said at botcon as long possible maybe 2-4 years?

 

They will want 50 to a 100 eps so the series can be syndicated, after that who knows.

If a video game comes out and it gives us the opportunity to play as Blitzwing, I so want an Ikaruga-style gimmick that would make completion of a level or mission require the player to switch between Blitz's personalities and corresponding powers every now and then.
