Perhaps. But I think the intention for these wasn't just to get an "aww", but to get Johnny Bravo jaw drops from lady-attracted individuals. Followed by wallet emptying from said individuals.

if people look at it from collectors prospective it’s also way new fans to transformers there is transformers manga and anime how many people on this site can honestly say they see cars and people have transformers logos on cars and shirts before live action movies where created I saw none those are type who hate transformers call them kids theme related stuff until live action movies changed those people prospective on things made transformers look realistic not cartoony looking since movies I can’t go no where with seeing someone with transformer something on there clothing but mostly there cars they drive I see I most

 

I don't know I think they are quite "tactful" there is a bit of bare flesh but not to much, they don't have massive over inflated zeplins in their shirt for example, Sure Megatron evokes a certain slinkyness with the line of the leg, but note "she" doesn't have an exposed midriff, and though she does she a slight hint of cleavage it's only mild. I would say the desire to replicate the source material was as much in evidence as was the desire to make "fit girls" and Like I said I actually don' think Bumblebee is sexy at all just "cute".

Oh course you put these outfits on actual girls then Jonny's reaction is quite warranted.

Well regular Galvatron falls under hot and crazy so that would mean Bish Galv would too.

 

The hate on these is weird. These are some of the most tame and arguably tasteful "anime girl" reinterpretations of these characters I've ever seen. No comment on most of the bishoujo line but these are fine as far as I'm concerned.

 

I can get why sporty optimus girl or genki bumblebee girl might not fit some people's idea of a good figure. The alt mode references are sometimes just tacked on and don't always look good.
But Megatron is so subtle it's really just a military woman in the vein of Megatron, so the only reason I could see someone hating on these rather than just not being a fan would be because they dislike the concept of human transformers, or they dislike the concept of girl human transformers specifically.
To be fair, I'm old enough to remember how some people's most hated G1 episode was only human, and the most hated toys were the autobot pretenders, so I get that some people might just really hate TFs as humans

 

If someone wants to see some truly Horny stuff go check some announcements from yesterday (Won Fest Winter).
Like for real. I haven't seen someone truly horny for these Bishoujo figures. So far i have heard they're cute from certain anime figure collectors.

That's what I've been saying too. Like, they make legit T&A style figures that go way further than anything we've seen out of this line.

that's my biggest gripe...if she didn't have the fusion cannon you'd hardly know it was supposed to be a Megatron homage...

there are little bits like the hat and the color layout, but not a lot evoking Megatron...maybe if she were wearing a helmet, or had more exaggerated boots that resembled Megs' legs...

 

But she DOES have the Fusion Cannon. Much like Bee has her goggles and Prime has both the helmet and trailer bag.

 

There's more than you might realize at first
There's the belt sporting his ab buttons, the deception logo on the tie lining up right, even the little military hat is reminiscent of his original concept art (which was heavily used for marvel). Then there's the red lining of the jacket referencing the red inside paneling on the original toy.
But I agree that it would have been better for her to have military pouches on her hips instead of just a black skit, and something on her back to reference his tank canon
