I feel like this guy is in the same field as SS86 Ironhide,he's definitely not a voyager but he really doesn't get the value of a Leader

Who the h3ll is stopping you? Buy 20 of'em if you want. Then buy a Space Bridge in Brooklyn after that.

At the end of the day, you're the one hating on other people's opinions.

I don't think I could ever bring myself to pay full retail for another wave 1 movie figure even if I was still into the movie stuff. Wave one is always overstocked everywhere, and considering how Target and GameStop like to run specials to move product, these will be easy to find. If patient enough, for much less than retail.

Not to mention thanks to JT prime we already know Scourge is getting re-packed 1-2 times in the coming waves. There will be plenty of him clogging the shelves for the whole year.

Most of the live action stuff in this area peg warms for ages (while SS86 disappears fast). Heck, we still have Grindor at Walmart.

And I really suspect he's going to shelfwarm hard; high price plus dull colors and mildly boring robot design doesn't suggest he'll be popular, even being the villain of the movie.

I've said before I was gonna wait for this to go on clearance before buying, but if I have cash to burn and I just so happen to see him on shelf, I'll probably buy him on spot.

These figures will be on sale, it’s not a surprise to anyone. Good move for those that are waiting for the sale and good move for those that preorder them right now.

People have different opinions, who cares?

Not just big. Chunky. He's got ratchets everywhere even compared to Sludge.

Reminder, you need to justify your decision to purchase or not purchase to anyone but yourself. If you buying cool, if you’re waiting for a sale also cool, if you’re skipping a figure, once again cool.

    Ok. It's still a voyager.

I'm also buying it at retail the first chance I get. Because it's the coolest voyager we've had in years.

I haven’t heard anything about that, but there is an upcoming G2 Grimlock that’s exclusive to somewhere (nobody knows where yet) and an SG Grimlock, presumably on Pulse. Maybe whoever posted that info confused it for one of them?

I could have sworn I saw specifics about a re-issue  . Too bad the only chances at the mold are colors I don’t like.

Isn't there another Buzzworthy Leader figure marked as "Studio PR" beyond Jetwing Prime? Or am I getting my info mistaken.

Where's @Jtprime17, he's pretty good about remembering this stuff.

Yeah there is, though it’s anyone’s guess who it is. Could be grimlock, could be one of the movie figures. I’m torn on who I want it to be because I want 86 grimlock, but I also would love a jetfire or aoe grimlock re-issue.

Seeing ROTF Mindwipe got me an idea, I am using that figure as a stand in leader for Terrorcon / Rouge Decepticon posse. All I am waiting for now is SS Battletrap.

So the interview that was front paged earlier goes a bit more into the design process for Scourge.

To put it simply, Scourge was planned to be a voyager like most semi trucks in Studio Series. However, when they got the concept from the studio, they decided to bump him up. The reasons that were singled out for this decision are the faction symbols on the grill, the chain and weather detailing, and the orange glow achieved with the transparent plastic and the paint needed to cover it.

Basically it seems that at the voyager price point, a lot of that detail could not have gone into the figure, at least according to the designers.
