Then to hell with shopping there for him... As I already mentioned, Coronation Starscream wasn't high on my list until I found out that he was on sale at Gamestop. The year before that ER Optimus wasn't either until I found him at Ollie's for the discounted price of like $22. And I was able to wait 6 months to a year in both cases.

So if the figure in question now is lower on the totem pole than they both were, then trust that there's no fear of missing out on it. $55+ can go to better things. Even gift card money...

The alternate mode looks really awesome and the bot mode is not bad, I actually like the head design.

I would prefer a bulkier figure but it is what it is. Maybe some 3P will improve the design of the toy.

PrimeVSPrime's review has made me like the figure a bit more, will probably get Scourge once he's on clearance. And how can I forget about Freezer? I'll be getting him too, to arm up my Legacy Junkions.

Oh Yeap, I just can’t not pay full price for all these new figures but with discounted prices, it will be different and this gives us a time window to see if the yellowing issue is still a thing (at this point, it shouldn’t be).

Yeah personally I'm not a fan of the live-action movie bots kibble-less styled robot modes (mainly Prime) so I was already not feeling this, but while he does look kind better here for me I also don't really see this as a Leader class figure. I'll probably still get him since he's so far the only Scourge coming and looks like a neat bot just will wait for a sale. But happy for those that are loving him as is.

It brings tears of joy to my eyes knowing that people are finally over Hasbro and there bullshit. It's definitely a nice toy don't get me wrong but it's no way in hell worth $55 us tax

I wouldn't completely say that cause people (me included) will still buy stuff a little more than they probably are and some will 100% buy this at retail, just this one doesn't really feel Leader class size or budget to me. Also just don't care for the design style which is the big factor for me.

I'm buying this at retail, I don't care how many people say he isn't worth it. I'm not gonna wait a damn minute longer than I have to to get this guy. Screw the haters, I'm very excited.

lmao, is that for real? Imagine being the absolute buffoon, the utter fucking nincompoop, who paid over $600 just to get a toy maybe a month early.

By all means you do you. I have absolutely no problem with the people who'll buy this at first release

And I’m happy for you and all that are gonna get it at retail, gonna be a fun figure.
Indeed, that being said never wrong with criticism on these products of course.
It’s so stupid for paying that much for a Voyager sized $55 toy and especially since this things gonna come out soon-ish. Like for example Legacy Hot Shot, he looks like a nice figure and I will get him just wanna wait for a sale. Or ROTB SS Bee, he looks like a objectively nice figure but needs more paint on the face for the price.

I think leader class as a whole provides the least amount of value in the size classes. Some of them are in this weird spot where they are a leader and you can basically see why but them at the same time they don’t feel like $20 more than a voyager, going by U.S. prices of course

And then there are some that are Leaders that are big beefy bots with a bigger like the 86 Dinobots or Prime Skyquake.

Grimlock more so than Skyquake imo, he still feels like he isn't $20 more than a voyager. Of course naturally since the Dinobots seem worth it, they sell out instantly and get scalped so I don't get them.

I heard something about a grimlock re-issue, was that true?

Feels good to have the G1 Dinobots in a proper size.
Agreed that being said at least he's tall and not a Voyager-sized bot.
Definitely which is why a little after Sludge got revealed I tried to track down finally a 86 Slug/Slag (he was sold out on BBTS and Amazon) and luckily found one for a little over retail but it was worth it cause I just knew when the other 2 comes out, good luck finding them for close to retail. Hopefully they get reissued in 2024 when we get Swoop.
