Starting to get a little worried about the situation at work. We were promised our annual bonuses would come after Christmas this year...it's now February and nothing's been said about that. Additionally, my annual employee review should have happened last month and there's been nothing in the pipeline about when THAT is going to happen, which is annoying because I have my fingers crossed for a promotion and a decent pay raise given a major person left the company last summer and I had to roll in and shoulder their workload out of the blue.

So far the company's been very good to me but I can't say I'm 100% confident in the direction the company is going if it's taking this long for them to pay out bonuses. Definitely getting the resume prepped for a worst case scenario in case things take a sudden turn.

@Autobot Burnout these "modern" times make such things a guessing game...here's to positivity and of course, your commitment to the company, hopefully they see that.

A spindle motor on my machine burnt out Friday, pretty much killing my overtime. I come in tonight to run and find the machine back together with a brand-new spindle motor. Fantastic. I turn on that individual station to make sure it has power, and I watch in horror as the cutter spins backwards. Great. I'm down until an electrician can rewire it.

High winds caused a momentary power surge at my work Monday. Just a fraction of a second, but it was enough to take the servers down.

    For 24 hours.

Those are bad signs my old company stopped paying people for extra work and giving any extra pay, and was also delaying raises and reviews right before they went out of business. They started saying one thing and doing another for about 3 months before we went under. Get the resume prepped like you said, maybe even send a few out just in case, you can always turn down a job if everything turns out fine.

Fortunately everybody at the company did get their bonuses - slightly less than last year - but still no word on the review and thus promotion/raise.

I will be putting my ear to the ground to see what's out there for a QA Analyst, though, in the likely chance my novel doesn't become the next big thing :lol

Glad things are working out for you. Always good to hear good news from people in this time of constant bad news and negativity.

84 parts out of tolerance. Out of tens of thousands of parts I've run for the company? They've lost their shit over 84 parts. Parts that cost around $60 to scrap out. Parts that aren't out of tolerance enough to SCRAP out.

Let this be a lesson to you: don't call out a person in a leadership position for slacking. Retaliation can happen in the weirdest ways.

You're not having much luck of late. Two damaged motors, now this.

Look to the positive. 84 is a nod to G1 Transformers.
