I...uh... I don't know, buddy. The bit of that panel that was cropped shows Onslaught's blast clearing coming out his back, unless the shell either a) somehow protected him despite that or b) has some sort of incredible super regenerative abilities that can basically bring him back from the fragging dead...

On the other hand, back in Marvel Starscream's shell did outright resurrect him after Ratchet simply plopped his remains inside...

The jet mode does look a little better in this photo. Seeing it from this angle, the only thing that looks really off is how far forward the wings are mounted, which is the main thing that makes it look so back-heavy. Wish they could've altered the joints to let them sit a bit further back.

I do wonder if that was a decision made for practical reasons, like retooling that part would've sent them overbudget or affected the stability of the robot mode somehow.

Who would shooting a Transformer through the torso necessarily kill it though?

    Anyway, I can wish. ;-)

I am really looking forward to this figure. It's Metalhawk, and it's based on one of the larger voyager figures out there. Not the biggest fan of the partsforming tailfin/gun set, but it's actually a total nod to the original inner-robot figure, so I appreciate that. Still, I'm more about the "Iguanus' cycle wheels actually transform off his back" kinds of things, so if someone ever cast just horizontal stabilizers, I'd ditch the guns and leave those on without a second thought considering the verticals are already there.

That all done, I think the jet mode looks pretty cool. The light gray breaks it a bit more than I think a lot of people would like, but as an actual jet form, it definitely works. Zero interest in Twincast, so I'll be all about Metalhawk.

Jet mode looks way better in that in-hand image. Hopefully it keeps up because I wouldn't mind a decent Autobot flyer even if it'd be out of scale. Still stand by the idea that this mold or engineering would make for a great Windblade.

Shouldn’t this be newsworthy since they’re getting sighted already? (Lucky Canada)

Would it be possible for ya to open up the chest and show how that section transforms? I’ve been curious and how that changed from cyclonus.

That's just unfortunate, I think the vehicle mode would look far better with a longer nosecone.

EDIT: Still, I wouldn't mind seeing even that level of engineering in an improved Seeker mold.

Many thanks! I would have preferred to see a longer nose cone on this guy but I’m happy to see the transformation looks to remain about as fun and interesting. Might have to get this guy.

    Doesn’t work for specialty stores.
