They really bloated out that alt mode for MP-57. They should have found a way to keep the shoulders up like in Gerwalk mode while the arms tucked away in the turbo pack. 2nd best mode goes to Gerwalk, with jet mode being 3rd.

MP Skyfire looks … fine. It looks pretty dang good, honestly.

If it were the only one in the market, and Phoenix didn’t exist, or came out *after* the MP… I think you know, I’d own it, and be pretty happy with it.

But as it stands, to me personally, it’s a worse side-grade. Still looks good, to me, but you know — worse.

I have zero interest in picking one up. But to those who own it and are happy with it? Rock on.

It looks like it’s not been tabbed together properly and collapsed in the middle.
    That’s not transformed correctly, right?

No need for you fanstoys boys getting all worked up.
Afterall. I think we owe FT Phoenix for the coming to existence of MP57 in the first place, making TT see there's a market for Skyfire in this market segment.

This was put of the box. Everything seemed tabbed in right but I guess something could have been misaligned.

While I definitely prefer Phoenix, MP Skyfire was good enough that I actually preordered it (first non-Diaclone MP I've put in an order for since Ironhide, 27 I think). I did end up cancelling it in the end though due to my current financial situation. I would like to buy the mini-figures that come with it at least some day (can't really now), especially the Wheeljack as he is a favorite of mine.

I love my Siege Jetfire, because for my money Siege is the best mainline toyline ever (even beating out Animated), but he always felt way too big. Seeing him with the Masterpiece-scale Jetfires/Skyfires really brings it home just how large he is for CHUG. Maybe liking a (relatively) smaller Jetfire is why Iron Factory's Cygnus is my favourite rendition of him?

Some people aren't yet grown-up enough to be comfortable buying toys. They pretend to themselves they're buying 'high end collectibles' instead. It's like G.I. Joe rebranding 'dolls' as 'action figures'.

If they weren't toys they wouldn't transform, they wouldn't roll, they wouldn't have sound clips, et cetera. They'd just be statues. If you play with them, they're toys. That's why they're ace.

I don't think TT give a shit about Phoenix or any 3P figure. Maybe KOs, but that's it

In this image, the backpack is straight and there’s a decent amount of ground clearance. The middle is definitely dropping in the other picture. This makes me think there’s something that’s come out of position during transit

Still undecided. Both great figures (as is G1 Jetfire!)

Glad you like all of them. I feel no need to trash them. All very good in their own right

I would certainly like to see the official get a toy version release. I’ll never trade out Phoenix but there’s room for both around here.

Personally I feel the decision is ALL of them. Pheonix is too damn good to get rid of, the OG is still probably the best Jetfire ever in regards to the vehicle mode, and the official is a real MP G1 Jetfire. And the all look good.

If I had them, MP would be in bot mode (most accurate), Phoenix would be in jet mode, would get a Macross valkyrie for bot mode and the OG G1 would represent the jet mode for that one.

    ...unfortunately I'm not rich!

... And unfortunately I don't have space for 2 of each figure. :-(

I still love Phoenix. I MIGHT buy a KO of the real MP depending on the price because I was a huge Jetfire/Skyfire fan as a kid, but it won't replace Phoenix.
