Was able to get the 1993 Battle Corps Ace into the front seat of the Haslab Skystriker cockpit. It’s a tight fit, you have to make sure the upper arms are as parallel to the body as possible as there’s not much clearance with the side tabs of the windscreen. It does look a lot better in there than 1983 Ace. The 1992 Ace mold has a traditional fighter pilot helmet used from the 60’s-90’s whereas the helmet on 1983 Ace resembles a 1950’s-early 1960’s helmet for pilots of fast jets like the F-104. Pretty sure Spytroops Ace and VVV Slipstream would look good in the Haslab Skystriker cockpit too. Also Failsafe’s file card has him as a RIO and pilot in addition to being a flight instructor. The way he’s described, he’s like the US Navy’s version of Slipstream. Wish he came with a similar helmet to 1992 Ace. That tooling for Failsafe can easily be reused for generic pilots with the 1992 Ace helmet. Also noticed the sidewinders on my 2nd Haslab Skystriker stay attached better than on my 1st copy. No slight seams/gaps between the wings either.
Decided to crack open the Retro Gung Ho I found today instead of waiting to get home LOL. The Valaverse vest is too tight and the Retro one fits good but looks too small. Too much blue anyways so I'm just gonna swap the future vest on the original Gung Ho and have that as my preferred look. Also the 8-point cap on the Retro figure doesn't seem to want to fit and stay on the head. Thankfully the Valaverse cap is pretty great.
The Target I check on my way to work had a bunch put out yesterday without any clearance sticker and they were gone today, which I thought was odd because even when they first hit they didn't’ sell out that fast. They must have been on clearance but I didn’t scan them to check because I didn’t need them.
Most of my Targets don't have Python BATs anymore. But this one had these two. I didn't want them as....I actually don't like BATs but for clearance? I'll bite.
Yeah okay I dig this. I hate the molded strap on the weapon. Wished it wasn't there. I don't like it on Outback either but his is molded in a way that doesn't get in the way of holding it. I'm gonna do something bold and make a custom strap with spare 1/6th scale material I have. I'm cool with the two colors look. It's reminiscent of US Marines in the early 2000s in Iraq. Wearing desert MARPAT and woodland Interceptors.
I did the same thing putting on the part for the wings. Luckily no blister. But pinched the hell of of it. lol
If I were going to army build something in Classified myself, it would probably be Cobra Troopers or the regular B.A.T.s.
I am army building with Cobra Infantry. I actually have some Alley Vipers. If anyone wanted to do a swap for Cobra Infantry. I have 6 or 7 for trade.
I ended up with 3 Infantry, 3 CI Troopers and one Officer. And I think I have 5 B.A.T.s...but two of them will probably get traded or sold off at some point since I don't have enough space to do any real army building. I did get one Alley Viper. They are neat figures, but I have never been a fan of the super brightly colored figures. Looking at my shelf, the Cobra Troopers (whether Infantry or CI) are my favorite army builders. It just reminds me of those scenes from the cartoon where tons of blue-shirt idiots are running every which way accomplishing nothing of value, lol.

I have 62 normal BATS, 30 PP BATS, I lost coynt on how many CI Vipers I have, 20 Viper 3 packs, 24 Cobra Infantry, 37 Alley Vipers, 30 PP Vipers, 30 Crimson Guard, and 37 Alley Vipers.
How important is that tab on the right piece? It was broken off when I opened my crab Rangoon packet.
