You can reduce them further if you are happy to lose a chunk of waist articulation

You can't close the back up if you lower the wings. The backpack normally would encase and sit below the base of the wings locking them in

This is just using his ankle extension and some balancing. Gives him a 1cm lift or so

 

Thanks for sharing. That's what I expected would be the issue when I was asked about it. I don't like the idea of making a new problem while fixing a problem, but it does look very nice from the front.

 

It doesn't really cause much in the way of a problem the backpack is not floppy in the slighting. Shaking or turning it upside down and it doesn't budge. Its just not flush but it's not a floppy mess. But I do agree, I don't like that it's not clean.

 

There is some simplification, You lose the claw joints. You lose the locking mechanism that hold the rocket sections of his arms in place. The fit and finish is also no where on par with the original DX9

 

From Baidu; someone posed MMG with his ankle joint fully extended against some combiners. I believe I saw some fillers for Gabriel's ankles at some point so I'm sure some one could make something similar for MMG if they want the additional height without the gaps.

That size is far better and more comfortable for my scale ocd.

It also gives his body shape better proportions imo.

 

nice work on that adapter...I was looking at their original render and it looks like they took away the piece near the "foot ramps"...I guess those folded in or out?...I see the detailing on those parts of the wings are different near the edges
