Looking forward to Twincast, Shrapnel and Crosscut. Core Nemesis Prime, I guess. Maybe Metalhawk...will need to see him in hand to decide if I want to bail on my TR version.

Core Grimlock is pretty laughable. I think I'm going to skip these overall and just wait for the Dinoking revisit.

Down the pike, looking forward to Beachcomber, Devcon, Nemesis Lio Convoy and probably Chop Shop from Shrapnel. The only way I'd rebuy Holiday Prime is if they give him the G2 Hero colors.

Overall, the focus on RotB and other franchises is easing the pressure on my wallet this year.

Can someone help me make sense of these price discrepancies?

Like why are 2 leaders from the same line priced with a €10 difference on the official site with the latest one being the cheaper offering?

Even CW Megatron was too small for a leader class imo. We haven't proper leader class figures since Dark of the Moon, when they were big, heavy, bulky, and had fun features and solid plastic and ratchet joints.

Most leaders have been a rip off since Age of Extinction. Studio Series Jetfire was a pretty good for a modern leader though.

That's not actually too bad if it's how Freezer ends up fitting in to Scourge's truck.

Mad? I'm not mad, I'm laughing. This is a total shitshow and I'm all for watching them scramble to try and justify how phoned in this all is.

Scourge is a new listing so if they're dropping prices that may be reflected in it. Something similar happened when the Earthspark Deluxes sold out and then got restocked. They dropped from $25 to $20

I don't see what's wrong with enjoying some nice schadenfreude for a film franchise that I'm confident is going to be a TLK level disaster.

I dunno, usually if I stop enjoying something to such an extent I actively root for its failure I find it's handy to log off and go find a better use of my time and energy. But hey, if you enjoy being angry about a kids toy line then by all means keep going.

If Freezer had been a pack-in with Scourge, I'd be a lot more amenable to the Leader price point for him. The integration does look fun, but it would have to come at a strong discount for me.

If he was packed with Scourge, he probably would have been a static gun or just simple transformation.

    Man.

Those Studio Series ROTB toys sure are... something. I can't wait for big grey Primal, big grey Rhinox or brown Wheeljack.

Yep. He'd have been on par with the Wheelie and Daniel packed with Grimlock and Slug.

No, you missed the point about why he's not.

I know perfectly well why he's not. And I know I don't see the value at $75 after tax for both this leader and a core.

Like Jesus fuck, when did people expressing their opinions as customers on what they think looks worth X amount of dollars become an excuse for finger-wagging think-of-the-budget types to swoop in and scold? Saying "I would need such and such for this be a value" used to be a normal thing for customers of any company to do.

I don't give a crap about Hasbro's penny pinching budget cuts, I care about getting value for my money.

There seems to be a segment of people on this site that think our duty as fans is to constantly support / justify every decision Hasbro makes and never vocally complain about it. As if there being a solid reason for these things mean we shouldn't care if we aren't getting our money's worth or not.

Don't be negative, don't express any form of dissent or noncompliance. Support brand, buy product, be a proper 'fan'. If you're a 'hater' then you need to be quiet.

It's infuriating because my initial comment wasn't particularly negative. I thought it looked cool, saw a potential way it could have captured my interest as a customer, and expressed that.

Of course, but grasping the nuance in someone's position is another particularly troublesome spot with folks around these parts. Which very often leads to those responding to arguments and points no one in particular are making.

Naturally this makes having a reasonable discussion incredibly difficult and frustrating because any sort of nuance or subtlety will usually be missed.

And theres also a segment of people who make it their mission to constantly shit on and complain about every choice Hasbro makes and that results in them ALWAYS vocally complaining about it.

Nobody wants to listen to someone who constantly complains and argues about how absolutely horrible they think things are. Especially if they are a smug, dismissive jerk about it.

Like I said in a previous post, I believe the main thing off with the design is where the arms sit and how long the neck is.

So for fun I did a bit of editing and raised the shoulder pads up, made the claw smaller, shortened the neck, and added orange eyes.

I also tried making the legs thicker to see how it would look, but I'm not really a fan of it.
