Sell now as if you if are going to sell them. Once it’s reversed less people are going to be interested after a official reveal
It is why I don't get people who want only one continuity. If something really neat from a continuity I don't collect pops up, I can grab it and the rest of the time I save money.
I've quite enjoyed all of Core class so far. Vertebreak, Rattrap, the Seekers, Soundwave, Ratchet, Megatron, even Hot Rod and SS Shockwave are all quite nice and fun for the price points to me. But these Dinobots are clearly made to be combiner parts first with their actual robot and dino modes tertiary to that. I'm only interested if the Dinoking rumors turn out to be true down the road...and even then they'll never separate for me because otherwise they look terrible even accounting for the price and size.
They showed mistransformed pictures of Airazor in the stream, and Thundercracker in the stream had both his null-rays. So I think we should be fine. Wouldn't be shocked if Laser Prime, being on the poster, ends up being the repack.
Interesting also just allows for so much more mix and mashing for new characters/a Junkion army when we get more and get some possible repaints.
TM2 Megs is repacked by himself in Evo Wave 1. Skyquake was supposed to be in Wave 1 but couldn't due to production issues. No idea if there is a wave mate for Skyquake at all. There are listings for refreshes of Laser Prime and Blitzwing but no idea when they will happen. So far those refreshes aren't up on Pulse yet so it is safe to assume that Skyquake is flying solo this wave.
Did they show the connection? I wasn't able to watch. From what I've seen on early copies out there, the connection looked much more like G1 Skyquake and one of the Predator jets, namely Falcon since he's the closest looking one to Needlenose's jet mode. You would need a substantial amount of retooling for Dreadwing and Smokescreen.
Ramjet is in the leaks for a package refresh. Thrust is the only one we don’t have a listing for, hopefully in 2024?
I really wish Hasbro would remember how to do metallic plastic, this soapy gray stuff on Metalhawk really ruins it.
What is the design philosophy that the Insecticons all have shoulders wider than the widest space marines? They are Insecticons. I wouldn't mind them looking heroically proportioned, but they just look aesthetically disturbing, like the shoulders are so wide that they wouldn't be able to function that far from their head or collar bone. Almost like there is a smaller robot inside a mech suit that has its own arms at some centralized control panel and not inside the mech's arms.
Sometimes you can just look at a batch of toys and know which ones they actually tried on and which they didn't. Shrapnel looks like the former. The rest, eh. I'll keep my Twincast preorder but I would've preferred leaving the handle red to painting it two different colors. I had higher hopes for Metalhawk once we had that sneak preview of the robot mode. Kingdom Cyclonus was pretty well put together as a jet. This guy immediately made me think of Titans Return Broadside's "jet" mode. I mean, the original toy's a disaster, so I thought they had plenty of room to turn it into something without purists having a fit. The result is better, sure, but it still lacks cohesion. I'll think about it. And Grimlock. Woof. Wonder which dinosaur mode is wrong, the box render or the promo photo. Box render looks almost tolerable. But man, for what was once a sure thing, they really keep striking out. Edit: Also, I don't know if anybody else noticed this, but do you see how the promo photos for Thundercracker don't show a second null ray? The box renders do but we all know "product may vary."
