I'm certainly slowing down but I don't think I'm slowing to a stop. I don't have any interest in the Prime or Animated figures coming from Legacy, just G1 and Unicron Trilogy. I'll keep buying the ones I care for, but I'm not feeling any reason to be a completionist with the current line.

I'm truly considering it,but there's so many aspects to life that keep me collecting. I know I need to stop within the next decade, and I've gradually slowed down my collecting pace due to me reaching many of my original goals (g1 season 1,then g1 season 2,then 86 movie and season 3,ect) but I'd say unless they do a mp animated line I'll probably be out of the active collecting market come 10 years or so

I'm pretty much done at this point. I was collecting Marvel Legends pretty hard and heavy but between the fact that my dream list of characters has been fulfilled, and they're increasing their prices I'm having to choose between giving up toys or comics and since comics are my first true love it's time to stop. I plan to get the rest of the Insecticons if/when Hasbro does them and maybe Blitzwing if I can catch him on sale or something but I'm pretty much done.

I have been. I was moving over to 7” DC the with McFarlane and sold some of my 6” figures. Kinda regret it as what I want has been made as unobtainable Gold Label releases. Also sold some Transformers I have no sentinel attachment and were replaced in the WFC line. Sold my Bandai Power Rangers to stick with Hasbro’s releases. And sold Marvel Legends that have replaced on the shelf.

Like I said I’ve been losing interest and primarily collect anime Funko Pops now as they are quite easy to afford and the only things fun to hunt for now.

I've quit Masterpiece figures. I'm tired of the toon aesthetic giving a total lack of detail, and the fiddly transformations that just aren't fun. I just want a modern, articulated version of the diaclone figure where the transformation isn't ridiculously fiddly (Sunstreaker, being one) and full of fake parts, with concessions to the cartoon where necessary (Ironhide/Ratchet being one obvious case, Trailbreaker's face, Brawn's robot mode, Gears's face, etc). MP-21 Bumblebee was good; the proportions weren't great, but transformation was great. MP Datsuns were great. MP-44, just looks like too much work.

I'm collecting G1, G2, and the modernized versions thereof. I'll be done when I have the seasons 1-3 toys in their entirety. I should probably get the titans (Fort Max, Trypticon, Metroplex, Scorponok) before too long.

I've slowed down a lot in the last ten years. I used to pick up figures from all the different series. But then I found I had a lot of the figures from Armada through Cybertron that I did not care about and they took up a lot of space so I sold or gave them away. Now I mainly display Masterpiece figures and the reissue bookstyle figures. I have sold off a bunch of the newer stuff that I have no attachment to. At the end of the day it comes down to what are you interested in and what do you have for space.

I've taken breaks every now and then, and as of late I've slowed down and pawned off a lot of robots due to a general waning of interest and a shift in life priorities...

At least until G2 and Beast Wars began to show up in Generations, which is what I'm trying to keep my focus on. (And some G1 stuff, too). So I guess while I've considered outright quitting the hobby, I still enjoy these silly plastic things a little too much to give it up entirely.:p

Yes, I have and do continue to boycott certain brands for pushing things on children.

I used to buy hasbro My little pony stuff, but after Generation 4 ended I stopped because G5 is bad. And I have no interest in it. The magic is gone. Stopped that..

Recently been questioning if I will continue to buy hasbro transformers. It's becoming painful and more painful to find basic figures and getting them not broken, yellowed or for retail price

Honestly I've nearly quit now... I'm just looking to finish out G1, and maybe one or two others and I will be done. There's probably less than 10 figures I need at this point, so it won't be long now...

I've gotten honest with myself and realized that the collecting part is just as big as the collection in regards to my hobby. I'll cull a bit here and there, but doubt i'll ever stop collecting as a whole.

I have taken breaks, and usually after i start up again will regret missing out on some rare or hard to find piece. Damn target exclusives and Powertrain come to mind, but i'm comfortable enough in my life to either say yes or no when it comes to expensive things, and my displays are enjoyable to me. I've found a personal balance, and i guess that's the best that any of us can hope for.

Drastically slowed down end of last year, so far for this year only got Tarn last month for 1st buy of 2023...
Doesn't feel too bad, suprisingly :D

So pretty happy with I have (1:60 scale robot collection), and frankly hasn't felt any "rush" for quite some time even before 2023

Don't think I can outright quit, especially when there are still gaps in my secondary target collection (IDW) so I'm guessing that's the way moving forward for me, trickles of new robots each month but only if it filled in the gaps :D

Pretty much done with Transformers now. Idk if I'll eventually sell off all my mainline figures or not. I'm keeping my MPs. I occasionally add to that collection if the price is right. Last year I bought TE Mirage and the KO FT Cyclonus.

I've turned towards Motu masterverse and McFarlane toys over the last couple years. Definitely feel like I get more for my money with those than any Hasbro properties including Transformers.

I like to do customs and those toys are far more fodder friendly than anything Hasbro puts out. On the TF side idk it's just too expensive for what I'm getting now. Less than half the figures are things I'm genuinely excited for and then half the time I can't even seem to get those.

I've seen several threads here with BW and UT fans are saying it's their turn. I kinda feel like they can have it. I've got what I want from the franchise. If I never buy another TF, well that'd be fine by me.

I discovered G.I. Joe Classified. Well, not so much as discovered so much as stopped ignoring it. Really impressive modernizations of classic characters there, good articulation, great sculpting, and plenty of accessories. Alongside them, Jada is releasing some pretty well done Universal Monsters figures. Not as good a value as Joe, but it's something I love.

I already talked earlier about how I just don't feel like getting strung along by Transformers for much longer by waiting for my favorite characters. You want to know something that makes that more exhausting? When the characters that I have been wanting finally come... and they're missing key parts of what I liked about them. The car mode on Minerva, the entire robot mode of Shadowstriker, and Knockout's stylishness in bot mode all come to mind as such examples of them robbing the character of part of their appeal. Then, they'll sometimes just make something with a very glaring flaw like Legacy TFA Prowl's holes in his bike mode or WFC Bumblebee's lack of waist and no ankles.

It really hit me when seeing leaks about Shadowstriker how much this just keeps happening. I've never considered dropping Transformers suddenly and never looking back more than now when I've been met with that wave of disappointment and see other, likely better, toylines looking at me from across the street.
