For a character most have forgotten, and a design even more seem to dislike, this figure turned out exceptionally well. All the joints to allow his arms to move isn't just well done, but it's linked and articulated specifically to match the way his arms move in the movie. The paint and sculpt are exquisite, the latter especially being some of the sharpest and cleanest I've ever seen on a face sculpt. And on soft plastic no less.

I always liked the Fallen's design. He looks like a distant ancestor to the movie TFs, which is great because that's exactly what he is, and I never minded that he doesn't actually transform since he predates that ability. I only wish this toy had maybe some articulated hands so he can hold the staff a bit more convincingly. Also the staff itself just being two pieces of plastic is a little weak. It's not terribly impressive, especially given the deco on the figure itself, but it's a good size at least. Oh, and the removable face is still hysterical and the light-piping for the mask's eyes is pretty genius.

All in all I really like this dude. Pleasantly surprised how well he turned out in hand.

Didn't realize the black plastic was actually translucent. What an odd choice, though I'm curious if there's any way to light him up to look fiery or something.

Really love all the articulation that went into the double-arms. It reminds me of how I got into collecting these toys in the first place: wondering just how they're able to actually engineer these damn things.

Between The Fallen and Shockwave, I kiiinda wish there were more SS Leader TFs that could all but dismiss the alt mode to focus on the robot mode, heh.

It's a great figure. One of my favorites from studio series.

It's because his colouring was iridescent in the movie.

Without painting him over in some sort of pearlescent top-coat, casting him in translucent plastic is another way of getting light to play off his surface in more interesting ways than if he were solid black.

I don't have a pic to hand but he's nearly as tall as bb mp movie prime even with his legs bent at his knees so he's a big figure

I've yet to open this because I don't know how to display it. Do I put him at the for front of my shelf with Megatron and the Decepticons or do I put him above?

Void Scepter Chopsticks, a review no one asked for

They're really short for chopsticks, which makes them awkward to use, not to mention the unorthodox shape and flexible plastic gets in the way too.
The short length also means you're almost handling the food with how close they are to your fingers.
On the upside, the flat surfaces at the end do make it easy to sandwich and pick up things.
Not sure how it'd fare with a noodle soup dish, that's for another time.

Verdict: 5/7 might be better for kid sized hands.

Don't forget to wash when you're done.
Warning: usage of Void Scepter Chopsticks may result in some trust issues

He's the first decepticon. He deserves to be at the centre.

Then you've just answered your question on how to display him. So you can open yours now. :)

I did have the 09 voyager standing on a riser at the back, arms spread out in a gesture of power but the ss one is too tall to fit between shelves on it so he had to go level on my shelf.

Although actually, he is crouching a little here. He might actually fit on the riser in this pose. I'll have to try that later.

I wanted to embrace this mold, but sadly I couldn't. I purchased the only one I've ever seen in the wild, only to get home and find that it had two of the same staff halves, which wouldn't fit together. I decided to return it.

I have the first two iterations of this character, and I do think this is the best of the three. It's a shame that the copy I got was flawed, or I would have kept it. I paid full price, and for the cost, no flaws were acceptable to me. Target didn't have any more copies, so unless I find it at a reduced price in Ross or somewhere similar, I will just admire from afar, and try to appreciate my hftd version for being 85% of the way there. Most of my collection is MP sized, so if an oversized KO is produced, that also would be very tempting. I hope all that have a complete copy are enjoying this mold :)

Opened mine up and can't form the staff, I got two with the peg parts. So modding mine or if anyone one hads one with the holes I'll trade. Guess someone wasn't paying attention In boxing him up.
