Beats me. I wouldn't mind but I checked the website before I left (admittedly I'm a mile away from the store) and it said they had them in stock. I go there and there's not a one to be seen. I ask an employee, they check and low and behold, the website is wrong.
Found a lonely Core Class Slug at the North Canton Target…No sign of anything else which was odd…I left it cuz I can’t do arms that don’t bend at the elbow….
Bainbridge Target got a Case of SS Cores in (1 Rumble, 2 Wheelie, 3 Laserbeak). Still have a Tonkanator… Woo, Still have Legacy Galvatron, SS Deluxes, 2 NEST Bonecrushers and some Earthspark stuff. We have 2 Legacy Deluxes coming in on Feb 1.
I was gagging from the smell of it so I took the picture and posted rather quickly. Based on the fact I could smell it from a few aisles away, it sat a while. But yes, on second look at the image it does seem to be of the Sus Domesticus variety.
Target Beavercreek: Not a lot going on except for NEST Bonecrusher. and core Pink-beaks. In Joe stuff there was one Recondo , some "Duke on a bike", and a mess of Python BATs. WalMart Beavercreek: Earthspark BAF deluxes,one-steps, and the little finger-puppet guys. one DnD Diceline Themberchaud left, and GI Joe retro-card Destro and Gung-Ho (and Lady Jaye), and some Snake Eyes/Timber sets.
1x Breakdown, 1x Scraphook @ Niles Target. Both came home with me. (Breakdown for a friend.) No others available. Had to have assistance with the scan, not showing up in the system.
Tonight, I stopped by and picked up 2 of 3 of the Minervas that this Walgreens had. There was 1 more left but the box was pretty damaged.
Stopped by Toy Dept in Fairfield looking for a Kingdom Rattrap, didn’t find one but found an open Black Roritchi for $25 so I bought that
I saw a Kingdom Rattrap at the game store in Eastgate Mall yesterday. They may have had two. I think it’s called Timewarp Comics or something like that if you want to call and check.
Haven’t been there in a while but usually their stuff is retail especially if they’ve been sitting on it since release they just keep them at whatever msrp is sometimes they mark up stuff but it’s random
Englewood Walmart had very little in the transformers section that was new except for a few of the toon vintage Starscream reissues. They did have the Legacy exclusive deluxes (Nightprowler, etc) marked down to $17 and some vintage Beastwars Terrorsaurs for $20. Still too much in my opinion. The big surprise was that they had a bunch of the storage shell vintage TMNT reissues (villains only) and giant Turtles, which I thought were a Target exclusive. They also had vintage reissue pizza tossin' Turtles, which I had no idea were even being reissued.
Steelyard Target - Earthspark stuff and other pre-Christmas hangers on. Mayfield Target - Kind of cleared out, but looks like they re-issued core class Soundwave (Tapedeck) in plastic free packaging. One left there. Steelyard Walmart - On Jihaxius and a few other older line figures. Aisle still pretty decimated. Destro is now with the retro 6" Joes. I know that feel. I'm unable to determine if it's the areas they're built in, or the corporate culture. The Walmart shopping experience definitely seems to vary upon region, but there are underlying similarities in most. Best option is an infrequently visited location. The Brookpark Rd store always reminded me of Han Solo flying through the asteroid field when visiting...
Saturday night, I stopped by the Lewis Center Walmart. They had quite a bit of the Earthspark line, not much Studio Series (a couple Coronation Starscreams and some Core class), a few RED figures, and quite a few Legacy (some Core class, Deluxe class wave 1, a few Legacy Beast Wars exclusives, Jhiaxus, and Galvatron). The only Velocitron they had were a couple Burnout figures, with no sign of wave 2 right now (although they did have Crasher and Shadowstrip at one point before Christmas).
Went to Walmart in Colerain near Ronald Reagan last night for a few things. Saw a "Retro 2" box on a pallet near the toys, didnt open it. Figured it'd the reissue hotrod or starscream. I DID buy a legacy Dragstrip because I found out on Saturday when I finally got around to combining the stunticons into Menasor that my Dragstrip I got over a year ago now is... defective. A piece was flipped backwards during manufacturing, and it wouldnt sit flush with the arm of Menasor. So new Dragstrip was purchased and I will make sure to return the old one very VERY notably as "THIS IS DEFECTIVE" even though its not unless you want to combine them into Menasor.
So what you are saying is "don't buy the open-box Dragstrip from Colerain WM". Last time I returned a defective/broken TF to WM, they immediately put it in the restock bin, and I saw it the next day. Same thing at Target with the buzzworthy set with Fangry, his headmaster tried be a double headermaster after literally 1 attempt at transforming. So I did an exchange with the last one in stock, and magically the next day, another appeared in a box in very similar condition to the one I returned.
