Well, someone wasn't skipping leg day, now were they?

 

I love the robot mode (proportions, head sculpt, colors, details) of this, but the alt mode is kinda lame and I don’t enjoy large figures. It'd be cool if Newage did one, though.

So I'm wandering around a target in Tennessee looking for figures and I find this guy in a pile of clearance stuff (plushes, barbies,etc) found him for the price of 90$ (104$ after taxes) and so far while messing with him he is really fun, minor complaint is his abb crunch is loose and will start to give out if he's holding his axe with two hands

 

I got him for Christmas from one of my friends, but one of his antennae is broken off. I could hear it rattling inside the box. I tried some Krazy glue, but it didn't hold. Anyone have an idea for a better fix?

 

Epoxy. Once that’s bonded it’s going to be stronger than the plastic itself.

 

Yesterday we did sort of a "grafting" thing where one of my other friends drilled a hole in the antenna, put a thing piece of plastic sprue from a gunpla kit in, then glued it. Haven't checked if it held.

Will putting epoxy on surface that's already had glue on it affect the integrity of the adhesiveness?

 

If I had to venture a guess, I'd say that as long as the glue is adhered and cured fully, then adding an epoxy over it shouldn't matter.
(unless of course there are opposing chemicals in each that lesson the bond of the epoxy)

I'd go with you're probably fine.

 

If that previous glue is dried it should be fine.

 

bit more risky but y ou could try using a plastic welder? i've done it a few times with snapped plastic and it's worked OK

 

Okay cool. This was the glue we used, which we both use all the time for bot repairs. I had tried this by itself before we did the "gunpla graft" and it didn't hold.

 

I know it's random, but can somebody show him next to either Power of the Primes or Wei Jiang Predaking? I wanna see how they scale
Also if anybody can show him with his legs extended and collapsed, that'd be great

So I was able to pick him up recently for a pretty good deal ($120, sealed box at a toy fair). I honestly know jack-all about the Cybertron cartoon...but he looked cool, and he's even cooler in person.

The alternate modes are a little wonky for sure, but I still love them. And the fact his mouth can actually open.

that being said...mine is apparently victim to the 'loose ab/chest' issue. If I so much as breathe wrong he flops over. Don't suppose anyone has worked out some kind of fix for it?

 

Sorry folks, had to show off a little bit from my end. I just used the tow carrier from zoids catalga for the leg portion. That let's me roll it back and forth making it a true mobile base! Unfortunately, Catalga can't really pull it either the battery is so weak or the overall weight is just too much. But all my hunch are correct. It works. Not 100% matching aesthetic but hey, I like it.

 

Hey so I figured out why some Legacy Metroplexs have floopy waists. There's supposed to be two ratchets in the waist, but some copies have one

Thank you for making a video investigating this. Unfortunately there doesn't seem any method of really fixing it that I've been able to find. Waiting to hear back from Hasbro if they have any recommendations/will replace due to factory defect.

 

Well, unfortunately in my case as I bought it from a 3rd party retailer, Hasbro can't/won't do anything. Much as I've enjoyed him, since I can't really pose him I may have to bail on the figure.
