I have a few questions if anyone cares to answer. So I have a shit ton of Transformers now. I was never suppose to have this many but I damn near have 200 at this point. While i do plan to sell some and donate a few I'm also thinking about getting rid the boxes for the figures I know for sure I won't ever get rid of. Basically what I'm asking is in the poll. Which Series would you guys recommend I keep. I'd also like to ask what would be a good and safe way to store my robots to make sure they don't become damaged? Also are there any type of storage containers that work good with Transformers?

Keep the SS boxes as they come with display backdrops. The WFC/Legacy boxes are nothing worth keeping.

If I like the artwork, I sometimes cut it out and put it in a folder.
For SS, particularly SS86, I only keep the ones that are generalized, like from the Dinobots.
    Otherwise, recycle.

Yea that's what I was thinking too. Unless it's something special from the WFC Era it doesn't feel worth keeping.

What's a safe way to store the ones that'll no longer have boxes?

I throw away/recycle all packaging. It just takes up too much room IMO

Other than the back drop inserts from the SS packaging, I say get rid of it all.

Best decision of my collecting career was to stop keeping packaging. Frees up so much space and I never did anything with it anyway.

I have to many boxes piling up that I just don't have the room for. Plus with how paper thin the boxes have become and lack of a proper window, the boxes are damaged on the store shelves anyway. So they're really not worth keeping around. But I really like the artwork on them, so I'm probably gonna cut the character art out of the box.

If anything I'll probably keep the boxes to the Beast Wars characters, since who really knows when we'll get this much Beast Wars stuff again.

Right? I just had tubs and tubs of flattened boxes that I never looked at or did anything with. Took me a couple of weeks of filling our recycling bin, but I got rid of it all and it feels so good.

For some, I cut out artwork that I like and recycle the rest. I flatten a few full boxes to keep and throw out inserts.

I throw out all of my mainline TF figure packaging these days. All of it. But if I were to keep any, I'd probably keep the SS stuff.

I used to keep a lot of packaging but now I toss all the mainline stuff in the recycling bin. The boxart for the WFC Trilogy is great but there's high res versions of it online I can find if I want to look at it. Also unless the toy is MISB, typically it's not going to bring up the resale value all that much. IMO just toss it all.

This. I have three boxes. SDCC Bruticus, Alpha Trion/Orion Pax boxset, and Holiday Optimus Prime.

If you're referring to that SDCC FOC Bruticus box, that thing was fucking awesome and I wish I'd kept that one because it was so unique.

Some I keep. Ones I really like. The golden disk four pack. Victory Saber’s. The few Velocitron boxes I have. The couple wreck n rule ones. That’s about it. Everything else gets chucked.
