I was estimating five. Off the top of my head: Darwin Vulcan RYV Spidey Amazing Fantasy Spidey Shriek I think Darwin was a real waste. They aren't likely to get much use out of his mold. They should have done another character in his slot with an existing mold and developed two Vulcan molds to phase out Bucky Cap faster. (I think they technically have multiple Bucky Cap, Sunfire, and Pizza Spidey molds in circulation. Some with modifications like a back hole. It would still take time to phase out.)
Darwin is on the old Pizza Spidey body. Two more you didn't mention are the Modular Iron Man mold and the Ironheart mold are both pinless. As if Amazing Fantasy Spidey (it's actually shorter than RYV Spidey and may be the new male teen body going forward seeing as it looks like Franklin is using it). Then you have some of the weirdos that are half pinless and half not. For example... Moonstone uses the upper body of Shriek so her arms are pinless but they haven't invested in a thick female lower torso yet so the lower body is on the old thick lower torso. Same thing with the recent Retro Falcon and the deluxe released War Machine... their lower bodies are pinned but their arms are pinless... likely because the arms are newly tooled. In any case, yeah, it's going to be some time before they can completely phase out all the pinless toolings because they have to make new pinless tooling for some of the body types and, as you said before, if something in production is using the pinless body they can't use the mold for another figure in production at the same time.
I don't really count Ironheart or Modular because they're both specific molds for specific characters. Ironheart hasn't even been used since her 2021 figure I don't think. The 4 molds in use are all able to be used for a variety of characters, even if some of those aren't entirely appropriate. But we need a few more generic pinless molds still, a teenage female one around the same size as AF, a thicker female one, more like Moonstone, a taller, muscular female one for She-Hulk, etc, a Grim Reaper sized male one, an Omega Red sized one and a 2017 Colssus/AOA Sabertooth sized one. These should all be pinless with butterfly joints.
So one of them has pinned arms & pinless legs... and the other one has pinless arms and pinned legs? The heck, Hasbro?
Not to mention that the boxes show Spectrum with pinned arms while the other images show pinless arms.
I’d rather he NOT be a BAF since he’s effectively one of only TWO ML figures I would have any interest in getting, the other being Supaidaman
Was Death's Head supposed to be that big? If he was instead of making him a baf they could just make him a deluxe figure.
I just remembered what else I really want... a Art Adams New Fantastic Four box set! They can make it a SDCC box exclusive! The mass retail solo release versions can be Hulk with a wardrobe change to be Joe Fixit, and Wolverine with a wardrobe change to be Patch? Dan Ketch Ghost Rider figure can just have different paint apps between mass retail and con exclusive- maybe the box set does not include his Hell Cycle, while the mass retail one does? My hodge podge New Fantastic Four
Ooof. I really like that Grey Hulk. Should have bought him when I had the chance. Hopefully I like the hulk in the Banner two pack.
Me? I'm still waiting on a 90s Professor Hulk. Removable bunny slippers, alternate boots, big guns... super deluxe release. Come on Hasbro!
I thought Dr. Spectrum was supposed to be their version of Green Lantern since this is supposed to be a Justice League parody.
I've been pitching this awhile. I honestly think it makes sense as a non-con exclusive and the only release for Dan and his bike, since this is essentially the only thing about Danny's career that Marvel continues to reference. (The team got a new miniseries set in the 90s last year.) I think new FF (which includes Danny) is probably more popular than Ghost Rider as a franchise. You could honestly squeak by on Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Hulk being 90% reuse from existing figures. Just price it as a 5 pack with the bike. Call it $139.99 since Hasbro loves to jack up Spider-Man figure prices $5 and Hulk is an extra $10 at current prices, being oversized. Gamerverse Fixit Hulk with a new or alternate head. Green suit, gray dress shirt. Old Man Logan Wolverine with a new dress shirt torso and different head and colors. Renew Your Vows Spidey with a dark, metallic blue. Johnny Blaze Retro Ghost Rider. New torso and wrists. I think Danny's motorcycle needs all-new tooling.
I thought he was the size of a Transformer, but I don't need him to be that large. I would pay $200+ if they throw in the hell bike.
He's as big as a Transformer when he's with Transformers, and usually about as big as a humanoid when he's with other humanoids. Either way, I think a standard 6" scale figure should be fine, but I wouldn't argue against deluxe size. He's usually about a head taller than normal humans.
