How though? To me it's no different than Dino, Sideways, the Nitro mold or most off-screen character movie figures. They couldn't get the license so he turns to an unlicensed jet and I am fine with that. The engineering is also really cool imo and the jet itself is nice just a bit generic. Surprisingly slick too compared to Nitro's entire robot junk and Starscream's lump of arm kibble.

Edit: This is what I mean. Not saying that Blitzwing's jet is overall better than Screamer's (it wishes lol) but it's definitely slicker and I really like that. And I cannot be bothered to transform my Thundercracker rn

The jet doesn't look very aerodynamic to me. Cockpit is huge, wings seem small and that tail is a mess. You might be OK with this, but I'm not. Dino and Sideways are still convincing cars. Blitzwing however is not a convincing jet

Thanks for the suggestion, if you don't mind me asking, what did you use to cut the antenna?

So I tried the experiment I bought this OSKO figure for, and I'd like everyone's opinions if it worked. I got a replacement head for my 1:1 MPM KO, but I'd noticed in looking at high res renders and images of the 3A premium starscream that his head is actually a bit smaller than most of his toys make it, so I thought maybe I could mod the replacement head to fit on the OSKO body. To my great surprise and delight, for some reason the neck swivel is the same size on both figures! So swapping the heads was super duper easy, but I'm not 100% sure that the proportions are improved enough to be worth it. What do you guys think? Does it look more accurate now? Sometimes I look at him and he looks like a shrunken head guy and sometimes I look and it looks really great and accurate. I'd love to get everyone's opinions:

    No problem!
Apparently Ratchet is the next SS KO to come out. And the plastic looks like it matches the PF one.
Hahaha! "Remind me to kill you later" is a great line!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that! Surprised PvP didn't say anything in his review. They really went all-out on the "nerd" look. Even more so than Que's Einstein look, which was only the head.
Starscream's bits on the bottom don't look like a folded up robot. Looks more like just technological junk. I don't like B's alt mode much either. The F-22 is also just a sleeker looking jet in general which helps a lot.

So you have a before and after or use another OSKO Starscream so we could directly compare against? I do see the difference but want to see just how much it changed

It does look a little smaller than I’m used to, but going by this render his head seems to be about the same height as the space between the top of his cockpit and his chin… so that head could actually be the right fit!

I snapped this quick pic before I left this morning but let me know if you want a better side by side later tonight. This can also be done with the regular KO head I think since the neck swivel is the same. The size difference isn’t so crazy but I think it helps the proportions.

Thanks! And yeah, I think we all get used to the toy proportions since that’s what we’re looking at most of the time. MPM Starscream is one of the only figures I can think of that actually has a slightly too big head instead of the usual way too small head that most TFs have (usually a compromise to fit them in the alt modes). MPM prime, ratchet, and bee all have heads that are way too small, for instance.

These two arrived today. Hot Rod imo is....

    ...okay
    20230126_170216.jpg
His joints are fantastic which is the only reason I am keeping him. He both poses and holds like a champ. However I legitimately don't like the transformation. None of the tabs plug in (ESPECIALLY the rear), parts of the hood and rear constantly fall off without me putting any stressed and the hinge on my right door wing is stressed. Also the clear joint that's there to spin the top of the car reminds me of Barricade's clear balljoint and how tight it was. Sorry but as a transformer, he is just not for me.
20230126_174152.jpg (forgot to turn off flash)

But this doesn't mean I think he is bad. Not at all. I think the robot mode is excellent and just like Barricade I simply wont transform him. So I painted him up! I think he turned out really really nice. I don't have an orange marker so till then he will stay like this. But I am fine with that. As for the silver face, I know it's not completely accurate but I much prefer it and it allows me to actually see his mouth

I'm waiting on Hot Rod myself but today was the estimated delivery date and instead Amazon had me approve a delay. Losing hope they'll ever fulfill the order.

Just ordered one of these off of ebay after years of wanting one.

(^not mine, mine hasn’t arrived yet)

I really wish the ROTB design was more like this. It’s the perfect blend of Movie and G1 Wheeljack.

MetaGate Haiku… still one of the most impressive movieverse figures I’ve ever handled. Can’t wait for their Shatter!
