That sounds possible since while not finished in color/paint he seems to be farther along than the others. Wonder if they might release them individually or just hold him back and release him with someone else like for Menasor and Devastator.

I imagine it might be like the Constructicons with the legs together, the arms, and Onslaught as their own packages, but you're right about Brawl being so far ahead

We haven't seen new pictures of the rest of the crew, Swindle could be in colored pre production stage also.
I'm really looking forward to seeing new stuff on these guys after CNY :thumbs2:

    Good question.

These three are ok. Like, good for the time (especially War Giant), but you get the sense that they could be better. Fingers crossed Hasbro gives Bruticus the same treatment they did with Menasor in Legacy. And Magic Square's will take War Giant's spot on the shelf (although if Newage wants to do Bruticus, I'm sure I'll buy that one, too).

The ones on the left and right are pretty bad. I guess there's an XTB upgrade kit for the the FoC one, and Fansproject did some stuff for Bruticus Maximus, but the base figures have not held up at all. The original G1 is a classic, though. Bruticus is my favorite combiner, and I just love the blocky shape of the G1 toy. To this day, I prefer a toy-style Bruticus to a cartoon one.

And on that note, I think MMC's with the upgrade kit looks the most like the G1 toy to me. I also think they have three of the five best individual Combaticons (Blast Off, Vortex, and Brawl). Their Swindle's a very close second to UT's. Onslaught's not bad, but he does suffer from an overly long torso and short thighs so they could get the combiner proportions right. Zeta's Onslaught has a too-big backpack and some of their penchant for folding up a bunch of panels and sticking them on the legs/forearms, but it's probably the best at simply being Onslaught. But speaking as someone with nine Bruticuses, if there was a fire and I could only save one it'd be the G1. But if I could save two the other one is definitely MMC's.

So now that new reveals have ended and this isn't as likely to get quickly buried, any suggestions?

UT's isn't bad, but at 6", but that puts him at 1:45th scale. Much larger than the rough legends scale of 1:60th - 1:64th. Though it does put him right at MS's Hound's scale of 1:44th. They look pretty good together.

It had some quality issues, but I still really like the visual upgrade the Microblaze Creations upgrade kit did for the FOC version. (I chose this pic from my quick search because it also has the Energon upgraded as well to compare before and after of both with your pic)

I wanted the Microblaze kit at the time, but back then I was barely making enough to afford the Hasbro figures let alone start buying into 3P. I'd consider buying it today if I found it at a decent price, just because I love Bruticus and the Microblaze kit almost makes the rest not suck. Unfortunately, they're rare on the secondary market and the only one I could find was no-chance-in-hell, not-even-remotely-reasonable $400 + another $100 for shipping. Maybe if I ever find anyone selling for a reasonable price...

Having taken a few days to digest it, I am pretty hyped about the combined mode. As far as I know this is gonna be the first time a figure has actually done the design and color layout of the main combiner body properly in a show accurate manner (I know that Unite Warriors attempted the colors). I really love how it looks.

I love how Vortex transforms to have such a show accurate arm mode, with the vertical “wings” on the shoulder and everything.

Also not sure if it was pointed out yet, but Brawl is facing downwards in leg mode and his turret rotates 180 degrees to point up. That’s also why the turret is able to sit higher, closer to his knee.

Since it's the only one I've bought since the original, it'd have to be Iron Factory's War Giant. I just love the way their stuff looks. I really like the look of Warbotron, too, but I've never played with it so can't comment.

I've never seen that before, that does look really good!

That would be MMC, impressive and fun. But I also like G1 for the beauty of its simplicity, and Combiner Wars (Japanese version), I think it's a really fun and cool update. The next would be IF, and the rest are too big and boring for my taste

If MS doesn't have a ready-made replacement face/head for Swindle, with a smirk...I really hope somebody else makes one.

For anyone who preordered- assuming these will not be sold separately, do they just roll your preorder into appropriate the set? And if you only preordered, say, brawl, you get a refund?

also, probably gonna need a back filler like menasor, so I can keep brawl with his gun rack backpack.

Showz will cancel them, and give you back points. You’ll then need to preorder the correct item. Last time they did this (Windcharger/Gears), showz gave me 300 bonus points for the inconvenience.

The points should reflect the $5 I spent in non-refundable deposits

For gears, I had a preorder for each figure. They just cancelled one, refunded points and the other order became the set of two. I didn't have to place a new order. Fwiw

Same. He was the best looking of the S2 toy combiners IMO. (Superion a close second)

I really hope MS includes swappable hands with these guys. From the look of that prototype brawl, it should support swapping the hands.

Maybe. Or they’re attached like the constructicons. Did even motormaster come with alternate hands?
