The Inferno mold scales just fine with Stepper and the other carbots. Frankly, I'd ignore the isolated chatter about NA needing to changing their scale. To be sure, some people would prefer it if NA changed the size of their carbots--since some folks like their carbots bigger than the Masterpiece/Sunbow scale NA adheres to--but there's certainly no need for NA to change what they've been doing.

Great taste in music btw.

edit: You can see how the NA Datsun mold, which is the same size as Stepper, looks size-wise with Inferno and Grapple in the post above by @JeremyGui.

Yeah, I'd looked at that picture, I just wasn't sure if that'd be the same size as the Jazz mould. Thanks again - might just treat myself to the Artfire/Stepper double-act. Probably about time I tried a NA figure, anyway!

 

It scales about the same as the MP versions:

The angle is making NA Stepper look a little shorter than it actually is, but yeah, in both cases, the top of the head comes up to the bottom of Inferno's windshield. Two things- one of the more frustrating things I find about the MT mold is the hip ratchet spacing. Second, the NA version really does look like a miniature version of the MP.

It arrived today. It's really beautiful, toon accurate, nice colors, good materials and easy transformation. I did my custom windshield right away  

 

This figure is pretty great. The only real negative that I have is that windshield. I wish it was solid blue over translucent.
Another issue is this makes me want a NA version of Red Alert.

 

The same here. Inferno is one of my favorite characters from the second season, and knowing that Red Alert is his good buddy ( like Grapple and Hoist ) it would be bad if one day I don't have it in my collection.

 

There’s no way they don’t do a sideswipe mold. Newage is the most repaint happy company I know and they 1. are doing a pretty good job of making sure everyone has a toy and 2 won’t ignore a mold with so much repaint potential. We’ll get sideswipe in g1 and 2, clampdown, red, two version of deep cover, a clear variant of each, a golden lagoon, some sg, a whole bunch more.

 

curious… can you share what you did with the windshield?

 

Of course, for windshield I used pvc foil or colored office paper ( cover ).

Neither NA or MS have given any updates since CNY. Usually takes awhile after for things to get rolling again.

So much better with the black head. Gave up hope on a toy Inferno (looking your way toy Skywarp/Thundercracker), and after getting this guy, I’m finally in for Artfire.

 

I at least want to wait until TFcon or whenever the next round of reveals comes, though at this rate that may happen before Artfire ships.

MP Artfire does look really cool in your pic, so I won’t be very disappointed if I end up with a bot that looks like that instead.

I’m still hoping they make an EX Inferno, but honestly the Artfire deco is more interesting anyway with the color break-up and extra details. I’m not a collector that checks names off of a character list— i.e. I don’t need Inferno just to have Inferno— so as long as I get one of the fire engines, I’m good. If the SG deco didn’t have the goofy toon head sculpt I’d probably get it because I like the green.
