Hmm, you could tell me about these good redesigns, or you could show them to us all, so that we can appreciate it too. I mean, if it looks good, then it looks good, and I want to see that. However, I don't care if it is a joke. I don't care if it is silly and goofy, it's Scooby Doo! I feel like silly and goofy fits right into it.

    Ok here’s some I like:

This first one is probably my fav. I didn’t know a white coat on white shirt combo could work.

The orange tie is kind of an interesting choice, but I think it works.

There’s also a bunch of letterman’s jackets in these redesigns, which I think is a good look for him.

Edit/Repost: You reordered these after I posted, so I have gone a head, and put the thumbnails with each.

Okay, the first two, he looks okay there. I feel like the orange on the t-shirt's collar looks a bit out of place. I think that design would look better if he just had the ascot.
    75123406-1C3A-47C7-8457-91A91AACF898.jpeg
The third image, he looks okay in with a tie, but I am not a fan of that artstyle at all.
    4627B30B-AFA3-4655-A448-BA3DA7766DD5.jpeg
The fourth, I think looks best out of all of them. My only change in that, would be to give Velma a longer skirt.
    07C0ABFE-7871-4E92-9E8B-AB27B88480A9.jpeg
The fifth, I think looks a bit goofy. All of those designs look a bit too goofy for me. I like goofy and all, but it just looks bleh. The same is true with the sixth, I especially don't like Shaggy's elongated neck.

However, I really like the seventh. The lettermen's jacket fits really well with Fred's design, and the rest of the crew all have their own distinct personality. That looks like a really good cartoon design, much better than the designs from Get A Clue (designs I like very much).
    8430AF19-460B-4812-9F1C-C21AA20912F2.png
The eighth, looks okay as well. I think the previous one looks better. I think the orange on top looks better than the orange t-shirt. And the final one is a bit meh.
    82E5DC1F-0086-4E06-AFBA-79557D67FED7.jpeg 26E7A421-75B5-4897-9DC3-2DA716A10F37.jpg
So, I would accept the designs for the fourth, and seventh pictures. They both look really good, and I would totally watch a cartoon with either designs. I'd likely skip a cartoon with the rest of the designs. But, thanks for sharing!

These are the two I really like:

However, I think what I liked about the anime one I posted earlier, this one:
    FnMBxzoWYAw3PXI.jpg
Is because it reminded me of an anime I really liked.
    Ghost Hunt Anime Poster Meme.PNG
It was a fairly similar concept to Scooby Doo. A bunch of teenagers hunt ghosts, and other haunted places, and often would debunk them as coverups for crimes.

I am quite sure that is gonna be the ending. Her mom also wrote crime novels, if I recall right (the show is so forgettable I am not sure).
Then again, what if the second version of events is true, which Velma recalls after her dad says her mom left them on purpose? That Velma was an obnoxious brat who made her mom's life miserable, and since she was already drinking heavily (that happens in both flashbacks) she just snapped and left? I can totally see her snapping so hard she turned into a serial killer mad scientist. The brains missing are probably because she steals them for some crazy project.

It's everywhere and getting tiresome. Rescue Rangers was a pain to watch due to it.

Oh it will happen. The "success" of the Ghost in the Shell movie didn't stop them from making Cowboy Bebop. I would not be surprised if Netflix was already working on, I dunno, a live action Dragonball show because that worked so well with the movie.

What if tomorrow, we don't talk about the new Velma episodes at all? Make ratings plummet. Then the show will get canceled, and become just a footnote in the history of the animation industry.

    I know, I'm a fucking genius.

Certain movies thought that part of Manos should be something they need to emulate. I'd like to introduce you to Psycho Santa.

"So, to make a long story short, Santa killed them. Off-screen." :D

Oh that is good to know. Because everyone keeps saying "CN cancelled Venture Bros for this?" and I had hoped that movie is still happening.
Man these "who owns what" are hard to keep track, especially since Disney bought Fox too and it feels like they own 90% of all media...

They could have literally made this show as an Elseworlds version of say, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, or some R63 version of Sherlock Holmes, the result would have been the same, really. Indeed telling that you never see adult shows with self-inserts that are original properties these days, they know they'd fail hard. I wonder if it was Neo Yokio when they learned this, when they tried giving Will Smith's son his own self-insert anime...

Well, I mean, it is cancelled, and this isn't. HBO Max could have funded another season of Venture Bros, but instead, they chose to fund this instead. We're only getting one more movie of Venture Bros, and that's it. No more than that. But, you're still getting a whole new season of Velma. HBO Max cancelled, removed, and deleted even, the rest of their animated shows from HBO Max, and kept this. And, will keep this running instead of those shows. So, the statement is absolutely still correct.

Yeah that's bullshit. Harley is still going, has an animated special coming as well as a 4th season. 10 Year Old Tom has another season coming. Jellystone has another 40 episodes coming. Looney Tunes is still going. Batwheels has a second season ordered.

So, no, they haven't cancelled, removed, and deleted the rest of their animated shows. Also, Publick and Hammer couldn't get their shit together to get a show produced in a timely fashion, of course they got dumped

Okay, so it wasn't the rest of the shows, it was still most of them. Most of which can no longer be viewed without piracy. They still canceled/removed 31 animated shows without warning from their service. A lot of which were exclusive to their own streaming service. HBO Max could have used these funds to keep any of those shows on instead. But, no instead, we get 2 seasons of Velma. I may have exaggerated a bit, but it's hardly bullshit. Calling it such, sounds entirely uncalled for.

They did it so either they can let another service pay them to stream them on their network or not have to pay royalties for awhile. I keep trying to explain how much money these streaming companies owe and how much they keep losing. If you do the Math most of them are in hole and trying to dig their way out. The worst of which is HBO/Discovery the previous group was spending more money than they were getting back in customer revenue for years. Most of these companies have been spending in a similar matter. They borrow the money for all this and several years later all those loans are coming due. If they don't make the payments they default and go out of business. HBO/Discovery needs 3.5/ 4 billion dollars in income to keep the banks off their backs, that money needs to come from somewhere. This type of behavior is a sign of how bad things really are behind the scenes.

You can see the other streaming services also cutting back, cancelling things and making similar maneuvers. The whole entertainment industry is falling apart in places. Your seeing many companies having mass firings and layoffs, canceling games, shows and movies. They haven't been run very well for several years as they all tried to out spend each other to be at the top. We are seeing their bad management decisions finally catching up with them. Time will tell which companies make it through this, go out of business, or merge to save themselves.

Out of curiosity, I checked the list of shows in the link you posted and... most of them are at least partially (I'm not checking every single episode/season count) available on Amazon as either physical releases or digital purchases/rentals. Some of them definitely aren't available on Amazon (at least in the US), but again that's the only place I checked. And it's definitely not a "piracy or nothing" situation for most of those series listed in the link.

Yea, I did a quick search myself. It appears that some of them are on other streaming services, or are available on Blu-Ray or DVD. So I do expect all of them to be redistributed eventually. I know a lot of exclusives from Netflix has ended up on Tubi. I think off the top of my head, the Outlaw King, was a Netflix exclusive film, and that was on Tubi. Like, whatever Yabba Dabba Dinosaurs is, is avaliable apparently on itunes, Microsoft and Vudu, apparently. I have no way of verifying myself, as I don't use these services. I think this was that most recent Pebbles and Bambam show, but I don't remember.

I found this information on: Yabba Dabba Dinosaurs (2021 - )

Which gave me this information. I know at the time these were removed, a lot of them were not on other streaming services, so I am glad most of them seem to have been redistributed since.

Yea, I understand that they owe a lot of money and are in a lot of debt, but what I don't understand is why they keep throwing their money into garbage projects like Velma, or that CW Powerpuff Girls show. It seems that no matter how much debt, or trouble they get in, they just keep shoveling these shows out.

They canceled the CW power puff girls. It never became a full series.(Yes it was that bad) Velma was likely already animated before Zaslav took over. It would have been announced and planned years ago. In order for it to come out now they were likely animating it last year. It's also likely either due to Mindy's celebrity status or the contract they couldn't just cancel it and write it off as a loss like they did with Batgirl. (And between the two Batgirl likely cost more money)

The shows they removed were either finished or cancelled long before a Velma renewal. And they obviously weren't considered a draw to the service or they wouldn't have been pulled. Whatever funds Velma is getting wouldn't have gone to them anyway. Bullshit.

And for the people still engaging in bullshit conspiracy theories on why a show this bad still manages to get renewals, some analytics. People watch crap, people talk about crap. Good things have been cancelled and shit has thrived for as long as entertainment has existed.
