We seem to be getting two versions of all the Beast characters so I wonder if the film will have flashbacks to 'the Beast Wars' and their younger selves will look like more like the originals or 'core toys' in that? And (just like in the original series) they have just evolved and now look different.

I thought it was just a reference to how Cheetor hits the brakes. The guy taking the pictures probably found this.

with that said I feel like he’s mistransformed? There’s a hinge on the back of the beast mode, under the waist so hypothetically you can flip the beast ass up so you don’t have a KD Magnus stock photo dump truck ass mistransformation in robot mode; and I think the forearm paws have a panel that rotated to hide the waffling.

overall I’m a fan of it, it’s BM Cheetor but it’s actually cool to look at, rather than sheer disgust.

What pattern, the only pattern Buzzworthy Bumblebee has is there is no pattern, just random figures they couldn't find a place anywhere else. Only 2 figures have been released as repaints in cartoon accurate colors. Also there is no cartoon here, these are colors accurate to what we saw in the trailer. Of course toy doesn't have plenty of details picked up in paint but it's nothing new with Transformers toys. Haven't you seen a Hasbro transformer figure before?

Another aspect, transformation, hasbro have been doing simple transformations for Studio Series since it's inception, that was the main goal of the line, redo characters from first 3 movies with this new simpler approach. Hasbro has been doing figures that aren't more complex than they need to be to achieve the transformation for years now. This Cheetor is very simple but that's because you don't need much to achieve the look. In the trailer you can see that both Primal and Cheetor transform very quickly without much going on with them.

 

Man, why the hell do the latest reveals all look so cheap.

Eh...don't mind the mold, but those colors are pretty bleh. Might hold out to see if we get an eventual better repaint.

If the mold doesn't get repurposed to give us a TM Cheetor in the Legacy line I'll be surprized. And disappointed.

Why are most of the ROTB character toys so far just brown? Wheeljack, Nightbird, Airazor, Scourge, Cheetor, and you just know Rhinox will be brown too

Still bizarre that the studio series figures were supposed to release a full year later yet are the ones that mostly have ended up less accurate.

 

I really like how they are going for Cheetor\'s original design but then sprinkling in some beast machines in the design
