No, I'm making the point that Superlink Megatron's gun is designed to look just like a miniature Armada Megatron. This is obvious because there are clear visual quotations in the design, making it evident to anyone. That is an example of a clear homage.

Those same types of visual indicators do not exist between Armada Megatron and the CW core design.

And this is the problem. Your 'interpretation' is severely lacking in observational rigor.

I'm pretty old, which explains why I'm cantankerous and somewhat condescending. :lol

And I apologize for being condescending and casting aspersions. I should have just said "Nope, you are incorrect." and left you to your ways.

So you've aged badly, worse than you think, I'm sorry because we're probably the same age in our 50s... I hope this matter is closed now.

Ah, so you win, you are older than me. It doesn't happen that often around here.

I'm only 48. At least my eyes still (mostly) work.

Yes, and it includes an OSKO of the C+ Customs set too. It's a bit expensive, but I'm strongly considering this set. Glad to see that they are good quality. Now to hope they do Guard City…

Nice. Mine are on hold, waiting for the gears to start grinding again after Chinese New Year. Looking forward to them!

Like it or not the Version of the character will always be attached to the toy which spawned it. Prime is a truck, Starscream a jet, and Megatron is a gun. It's not a question of right or wrong, it's not about nuance or character development.

Ask any casual fan from that time who's G1 Megatron? Try to jog their memory with, "you know the leader of the bad guys". Bet you anything they come back with "the gun guy right?". That's not being contriarian or obstinate it's the truth as I see it.

He'll always be the "gun guy" 1st and foremost no matter how many tank versions they make. The tank will always dwell in the shadow of the Gun, his true form, his original form, and how most people know him. You might as well be arguing that Soundwave isn't the one with the weird voice.

Yup! Also almost exactly the same as the older oversized versions from a few years ago (Wei Jiang?), obvs the hands are articulated along with the lower arm being thicker to compensate, but very similiar! :)

I'm happy to hear that a head-swap is feasible!

Kind of wish they'd molded the fists in white instead of black. Odd choice.

I don't know if this is the same for Bay stuff, but it may be cheaper to upgrade to KO MPM scale stuff. With G1 MPs you can buy MP figures for often near the same price of these SS counterparts. @SMOG is more knowledgeable than I am at this sort of thing though.
