Tarn is still up at Pulse, ships in four days. Even without Pulse Premium you’ll probably spend more in gas looking.

If people want him that bad, the option is there to get him easily, way before most stores stock him, and without having to worry about other collectors snagging it first. He’s one per store but plentiful online.

With all the boxes being closed, there is no real benefit from hunting for shortpacked non-exclusive stuff like this unless you’re just very impatient. Just order online, sit back, relax, let it come to you.

I decided to skip him because I don’t really care about him enough to buy him despite liking what Hasbro did with his design. I was tired of the short packing in wave cases and let my frustration with that get the better of me. My apologies.

 

Hasbro Pulse sent me an email saying Tarn is shipping soon. Good luck to the hunters!

 

It's interesting to me that Transformers Legacy doesn't really have any current media in which these characters live in a shared universe.

Leo Prime and Tarn seem much cooler than both RoTB and Earthspark offerings, but those are ones that normies may know. A lot of kids will be getting Earthspark and RoTB toys for gifts because LeoPrime will be unknown. It will be interesting to see how well these do. Because that will tell how much Hasbro owes to collectors vs new kids.

I mean I'm a fan. But I still had to TFWiki what and where Leo Prime comes from for instance.

 

Plus, no discounts? I definitely make the drive... when Target has a sale. But otherwise, "hunting" is just one big flaming hoop to leap through - you shouldn't have to work hard to give someone money! At least not if your time has any value to you at all ...

Well, it's very cool... but very alarming, too. How will the brand survive without a strong cartoon or movie? It feels like its drifting on a leaky boat that's fueled by nostalgia!

On the one hand, I love seeing new versions of these toys (Leo Prime), but on the other hand... will kids care?
The comic toys seem like a fail to me: the IDW figures did not appreciate much in the secondary market, and Hasbro has not revisited the idea. Love that Tarn is getting a fig, but it very much feels like a one off thing. Especially if he is short packed (because Hasbro's experience is that IDW did not sell the toys too well)!

 

Nah the hunt is dead, its fine to go out to target or whatever on a whim for actual needed items and stumble upon a new release but actively looking with how shit distribution is is just a frustration and waste of gas in the making. There's a Recession coming and its not going to be nice.

 

Sadly, I can’t remember a time a long running line has ever decreased in price after upping prices. The most we can hope for is prices don’t just keep climbing.

In all my Hasbro lines I’m a few characters away from feeling like I have a complete collection… the only problem is those last few characters are being purposefully stretched out.

Bring back third party CHUG scale so I don’t have to wait until 2030 for Seaspray and Windcharger, lol.

 

General audiences are the backbone of a successful toyline. "Hunters" are a dying breed with preorders becoming so readily available.

Guarantee you most kids (and adults) are gonna assume it's Optimus just turning in to a lion.

Just like they'll assume Legacy Megaton is just Megaton but a dragon now.

 

So, for better or for worse, the DCPI I see on Leo Prime’s product page (087-16-7036) just pulls up any random Legacy voyager when checked on in-store handhelds. So, “3 on the floor” turned out to be Jhiaxus.
