I can see the G1 Scourge face under there. Well not exactly the same as the G1 face but I can see the "facial hair" underneath that mask.
Too bad that mask ain't removable tho, I would have loved to see an unmasked version of Scourge's head. Facial hair on TFs looks cool when done right imo.

 

I continue to question why at a leader price point they couldn’t engineer a fake grill guard to swap out with this mangled robot mode version. It hides so much of the grill that the cool factor of those faction symbols is completely obscured.

 

I also question why at Leader price point they couldn't make his mask removable. I mean sure he might have that thing on his face 24/7 but it's always cool to have options for displaying. And I also question why couldn't they have the gas tanks on the side of the truck.

Yeah a removable mask would be cool, but ultimately the thin legs, grill guard, and lack of gas tanks is what annoys me the most.

 

Yeah the thin legs just suck. This would be a better figure had the legs not been so thin. If the legs were good I could have forgiven the other mistakes on the figure. At least he still has the faction symbols trophies detail.

 

I guess they probably wanted to use as little pieces as possible. Honestly I don't see why they would especially when faux pieces can enhance both modes. Honestly it's an issue but I am not really bothered by it as it still looks good from afar.

Removable mask would be rad but the lack of gas tanks is legitimately dumb.

 

Yeahhhh, part of me hopes this is the main line voyager or something, but I doubt it. Nothing here is on par with previous leaders, and that really sucks. There's a good base but it needs more to really give it that leader touch. :/

 

for me its the legs everything about them in both modes is so lazy, they should collapse because the back aprt of the real truck isnt as long, they sould have had the real 5th wheel maybe on the ankles or something if they were going to still use fake ones on the thighs, hell, the legs should TRANSFORM to begin with, so far they only rotate and the feet move, thats all the transformation there is in the entire leg area, weapon doesnt count as its even partsforming
and yes, chest should have either transformed or had a faux part be the chest while the real one be tucked away, or even better, real on one side faux on the other and it rotate to reveal the correct one on each of the modes
and all that oversimplified transformation would have been acceptable if it was a voyager, hell from what i can see its barely bigger than rotf or 07 megatron and certainly its as complex as those, although it sure looks skinnier, there is simply nothing about it that justifies being leader class in price,

not height, complexity, PAINT, MASS, why are people defending its price again?

It just hit me but does anybody else kinda see a similarity in Prime's chest looking like the Powermaster Hi-Q is there?

 

Personally no but I can see that connection.

 

Really appreciating the pictures with better lighting, and seeing the previously hidden details. Opinion slightly improved.
