Damn that mainline one's wings are SO much nicer

 

I think they both looks good or about the same in terms of looking good.

The maing thing I think the SS beast mode does that I wish the mainline did, was the articulated hinged wings. But due to the transformation of the legs being the wings she can’t. Which kinda sucks cause I loved the possibility and expressions you could get out of the Kingdom toy just by moving the head and wings.

 

I'm a little bit torn.

I liked the SS abit more in terms of robot mode but it's based on the Kingdom version right (mainly the look of robot mode)? Not saying it's a bad thing but the legs on the beast mode is off putting!

Now the mainline version isn't bad looking. However going by PVP, the wings doesn't fold like the SS version but for good reasons (it's the legs)

So the \"97\" means she is supposed to be closer in look to the 1997 BW toy? Is that why she is a retool of the Kingdom figure? Will that Cheetor we saw be a similar case and that\'s not what they look like in the movie?

 

No. SS97 is the number for the toy. In other words, it’s the 97th live-action figure for Studio Series (give or take a few exceptions). For instance, SS100 is RotB Bumblebee.

 

My heart dropped for a second not realizing they mistransformed the feet, cause I thought those bird feet would be his bot mode feet as well. And words can\'t express how much I despise that. Whew, close call lol.

 

Is it just me or is anyone else bothered by all images of ss Airazor, leaked and official, have the shoulder pads collapsed?

 

It’s the SS number. SS has been running for almost five years at this point and has been known to number their figures.

 

Because the shoulder pads are molded together with the arm. Unlike kingdom airazor they are not a separate piece.

They're molded in place as part of the arm, they don't move as far as I can tell

 

Only because it looks like a mix of movie and original BW astethics from the 97 CG toon models. Ish... somewhat.  

 

I don't buy movie figures. They always just end up not being what I want, eventually. The beasts we've seen so far look like awesome figures. These movie beasts would look phenomenal in some loud Universe decos and I'd be in line for them. These decos aren't for me though.

 

I plan on getting her and making her some new character to go on my Beast shelf.

 

The mainline airazor looks more better in my optinion but i also like the old look on the studio series one

Yeah, sticking with mah Kingdom Airazor... Just really don't like the colors of this one.

And, while this is obviously something that could never happen, did they mistransform the feet? They have the bird-y feet on both modes where you rotate the Kingdom version's feet depending on the mode. Or is Hasbro just cheeping out on us by giving her only foot type here?
