A tiny detail I just noticed - the Cartoon versions have the correct wing decals on their back where it was absent on the original versions:





EDIT: Upon review of my own copies of the original Seekers, I've realized they already have decals on the back of their wings. It must have been corrected after the release of the promotional photos.

 

I saw @Wh1tebase 's custom and I was hooked. Thanks to @TheGrimReaper, I grabbed an original H13 and made the swap! I had planned to paint the white rims to match the grey but I think I like the contrast it provides.





H13C didn’t get a lot of buzz (or any at all) for figure of the year but it’s one of my favorites. The headsculpt is by far one of the best we have gotten from the legends scene and I think it elevates the mold to another level.



I already picked up replacement heads from H13B for Skywarp and Thundercacker but I’m definitely looking forward to their cartoon versions as well, though I’ll definitely make the cockpit swap as well.

But I don’t see one here. Does he include and alternate head or no?

Hey all, first post here. Does Dr Wu or others provide different face sculpts? I missed the first batch of Thundercracker and Skywarp so will probably be getting the 4th anniversary releases.
But those faces...No, they will not do. Let Starscream be himself, come on.

 

No one makes alternate heads as far as I know. And I agree 100% about sticking Starscream’s face on Thundercracker and Skywarp. Super lazy and disappointing that NA did that.

 

I also prefer the IDW design from IF, however the execution - specially in alt mode - is so poor and terrible the jet looks ungly from any angle, even the top; To me NA won the seeker wars hands down;

 

those original jets are still around and pretty easy to find cheaply if uou are looking to pick them up. most of the time i see them for like 30-40 bucks still.

 

i'm open to another swap if you need!  

i'm still looking for a spare black MP52 head included with SG version, or even from the upcoming new H14C/H15C SC/TC release. so if anyone else cares to swap, pls hit me up.

 

For the 2 people who might have been curious a swindle minicon mold can still fit onto the back of the NA mold perfectly! I have my SG swindle paired with my NA Michael.

 

I picked up another copy of H13C since it was on sale at Terry’s and I bought my first copy loose with some scratches on both headsculpts so this gave me an excuse.

It’s nearly imperceptible on camera but the paint used on his head looks slightly different on both copies and the screw is black where it was silver on the original.



Regardless, I can now display his alternate face (my first copy had very visible scratches) which should help break up the monotony of having all three seekers have the same face.



Anyone looking for a loose H13C?

 

You know, this configuration with the null rays on the body and missiles on the wings looks really cool, will do that to my NA seekers.

By the way Michael is sooo gordgeous! One of my favourite figures right now!

 

Bit of a niche request, but does anyone own both G2 Ramjet (Fenrir) and SG Starscream (Michael)? Wondering if you could try this idea I had:



Excuse the rough digi, but was curious to see how it looked in hand, and if the conehead version of the mold can transform with the mp52 esque head attached. Not necessarily Slipstream, I just really like Ramjet’s kibble orientation but not the biggest fan of the G1 coneheads.

 

you basically just answered your own question. it should look exactly how you digi'd it. there is no difference in transformation for either version of the mold. the coneheads and the new head are perfectly interchangeable.

i don't feel like dissembling any figs this morning or i would do it. it is just that nothing i do will look better than the pics you posted. so it's not really worth the effort for me.

either way nice idea there.

 

As @lilcarus said, it will transform just fine- there's no difference in the upper bodies of the seeker mold (other than the coneheads' "backpacks" not having wings hanging off of them.) Since the cone head isn't actually part of the nosecone, they transform the exact same way, just with a different head shape hanging under the cockpit.

 

Thanks guys, really appreciate it! Going to use Ramjet with the head as Slipstream and will probably repurpose SG Screamer as Robotmasters R-Blade…. maybe I should learn how to design things for 3d printers so I can make him a custom head…..

@NA_NEWAGE mp2.0配色版的闹翻天。因为原色闹翻天差不多绝了，这款其实充当着变相再版的作用，后入坑的朋友自然选这款就行了，老玩家可以看看图用不用洗掉，我觉得没太大必要？

最传神得还是头雕使用了2.0的造型，整体配色也从黑色和银色变为了深灰和浅灰，不得不说重涂是被na玩明白了。

The mp2.0 color version of the skywarp. Because the original color is almost gone, this one actually acts as a disguised reprint, friends who are late into the pit can naturally choose this one, and old players can see if the picture is used or not, I don’t think it’s necessary?

The most vivid thing is that the head sculpt uses the 2.0 shape, and the overall color scheme has changed from black and silver to dark gray and light gray. I have to say that the repainting is understood by NA.
