    1. The figure is 27.5cm at the head and 29.5cm including the rail on his back and weighs in at 895g.
    2. The figure looks very G1 accurate. He rates the look a 9. The figure is lacking detail due to G1 accuracy, so folks who want more panel details might be disappointed. Overall it looks great.
    3. A quick comparison between the NA Devastator and the Weijiang and official Omega Supreme for comparison.
    4. The NA figure is the most toon accurate. The official has a lot of sculpted details. The Weijiang is the tallest and has the best price.
    5. Articulation is mostly self-explanatory. He does mention the paint chipping on the chest. That's due to the figure having an Autobot symbol sticker there, and he had to remove the faction symbol because it's 3rd party and that caused the paint chipping/scratching. He doesn't say who added the sticker there. The drop-down hinge in the thigh can be used to give him some extra height if you want to. There are also rubbery parts on the bottom of his feet for better grip. The figure can be put into a lot of natural looking poses.
    6. Transformation is also self-explanatory. The 2 little thin pegs on the bottom bottom of the tank is there to keep the tank in the rails. He really likes the transformation. The arms being one piece is fresh and interesting. It's a lot of fun to transform.
    7. He puts the other NA figures on the base for comparison and demonstrates the motorized function of the tank.
    8. He really likes the figure. The only downside for him is the price. It's 800rmb, and he thinks 500-600 is easier to swallow.

The only question for me is do I wait for the EX (will they even do one? Still no EX’s for a number of characters including the newer vanbros and inferno/grapple) and get him for my toy collection, or just get him as soon as he comes out and put him in my toon collection, foregoing any Omega that MS would come out with, and also foregoing any possible EX (not getting two of these). I would think that with both this and the knockoff that the market will be saturated and that might turn off MS from making one, at least for quite some time. I’m not sure that MS could even top this one, I’m really digging it. I never thought I’d be excited for Omega, but I am now!

Edit: about the pricing, if it’s $150-180 shipped ($120 or whatever plus shipping) that would be awesome. I’m worried about TFSource and US retailers sticking their beaks in again like they did Jetfire and telling NA the prices need to be jacked up so they can be competitive with whatever outlandish price tag they mark it up to. If that happens though there better be some coupons again!

    Nooooooo no no.
MS combaticons, aerialbots and protectobots maybe predacons and seacons. (Doubtful either would happen)
powerglide, warpath, wheeljack, sunstreaker, updated red alert

    I think that does it.

Technobots and Terrorcons? If the answer is yes then I figure it is better to know now, if it is no then I've wasted both our time.

Terrorcons... not for me. Technobots... meh. I guess. Idk. Both were towards the end of when I was into TFs. I also have no love for the movie (don't bother with the hate) so most of those guys are not represented in my collection. I could even go without metroplex and never a fan of trypticon.

Does he say if the figure is fully painted or mostly plastic?
I expected it to be 700RMB, but 800RMB is much better than most people expect (Devastator was 1100RMB). So probably at 150$ range on pages like ShowZ

What’s the average time frame it takes Newage to release a figure after its announced?

What would be a reasonable guess on when this comes out?

It’s gonna be after CNY. It can take awhile for factories to resume normal production after. My guess is at least a full month.

Dear Primus, it is just beautiful. For me it is a must have, and could be figure of the year.

In this moment this is the best ver OS. I wanted something like this for about 30 years. This time i won't wait for MST OS ver ( unless it appears in the meantime ), cuz I know best how I feel when that moment comes when I have to decide between the two sides :)

Paint wasn't something he brought up except for the paint damage on the chest.

Thanks! I also realize that if it's fully painted, NA would surely have mentioned that in their announcement.

over the years Ive found it annoying that a lot of these 3P legends companies don't announce the price when they show the figure. Like what's the point of holding off? At this stage of production, they have to know their costs so why make everyone wait? The NA collectors are in on it regardless, those that cant float the $150-200 know they are already out, and for others on the fence or those that need to budget out $200 it'd be helpful to know prices and would only benefit sales for them. Even lower priced figures, they hold off on, why, it's not building up any positive hype not knowing how much I'm going to need to pay for something.

I guess DX9's Omega reprint might be the reason. Of course New Age know their costs, but it's a company known for making the most profit out of every toy (in order words, their prices are really high). This time there is a reprint of a huge, well known, very well appreciated version of the same character, for more or less the price NA had in mind for their toy. And an undersized version of that toy for a reasonable price.

I guess NA is crunching numbers, reading the social media to know how the fans are reacting to the toy and digesting the rumoured price. They are really happy about the toy, but we know the price is quite controversial. Will they buy a cheaper version instead, or even the titan? How many potential customers will they lose if they keep the price? Is it better to lower the prices this time in order to maximize the purchases? Numbers, numbers...

You would think that, but it's not just for this figure it's for so many others from ymir to Cyclonus etc. And also they had to think ahead of time if they're charging x amount that someone could buy a larger existing one for just a bit more. But It's not just New Age. On the magic square website for gears and windcharger They had it at $0 pre-order until the day they released it

Show Z has Dr wu Trypticon for 32.99 but then no price on the battle damage version which comes out not too far off. Does Dr Wu not know he's going to charge $5 more for it? It's a legitimate question I've been wondering about, not just griping cuz Im in the "know what I'm buying already" category.
